Preah Khan is a historic and protected site Siem Reap located in Cambodia.
Grand Circuit Rd. Siem Reap Cambodia
This temple is not as crowded as the others, and really gives you and idea of what it was like in the 1860's when these temples were first rediscovered.
Be sure to explore all of the passageways. BEWARE of the off-duty police ! They act as unsolicited tour guides & then ask for a donation in return knowing you'll be intimidated. Just leave them behind.
I think my favourite temple , really quiet and peaceful . Not as restored as other temples so feels spooky and more authentic in the forest . It’s huge and many areas you are alone
The best temple to visit. On the East entrance is the picturesque Preah Khan lake (not shown on google map). A beautiful canal surrounds the temple .
Keep your location in mind. The temple has a "+" layout, so it's easy to get a bit lost. East Gate is much less crowded , so is better for exploratory wandering.

Built by ancient Khmer king for his father . Highly recommended to visit
Lots of corridors but Ta Prohm has a similar vibe with more atmosphere. However there are fewer crowds and tour groups here.
Much more interesting, less crowded , more impressive version of Ta Prohm
Awesome place!
one of king Jayavarman VII largest projects
Best temple in grand circuit
Brilliant view from d last gate..d way d jungle has taken over:)
Go early in the morning (shortly after sunrise) to have the place to yourself.
so beautiful temple for father of Jayavarman the 7th.
Check out the two intertwining trees just outside the East Gate . Incredible!
More authentic than Ta Prom, but still with these impressive trees
Everything is 1usd. But when we want to buy..they increase the price to 20usd
The tree is winning.
