The biggest ancient temple complex in the world, such incredible architecture build around 12 centuries ago! Also know as City of Temples in Khmer, it's a very large area to visit

tekgik ????????

Take a picture from the left side (facing the temple ) thats the best composition you can get with reflection. Go far left so you'll have a gap so you can see the 5 towers.

Gaddo

The best way to visit the temples is to rent Tuk Tuk for one day. Do not attempt to visit the area cycling because it is huge and the temperatures around 32 C.

Bang Geonzon

Buy tickets a day before especially if you plan to catch the sunrise . Get the 3-day pass so you have enough time to check every nook and cranny. Crowds usually gather at the left side area so be wiser

Dave Mc

This is really amazing, on par with the pyramids in Egypt. Stay for a week or more and you’ll have time to visit the lessor know temples , often times you’ll be the only one there.

Nikita Turkin

Absolutely wonderful awesome inspiring place. Go there early at 5.30am for sunrise , order a $1 coffee . Left side of the pond there are fewer tourists if doing a time lapse. Worth the wake up!

Selina Chen

A place where you find yourself back to an ancient civilization. Adjective words are pale to describe how magnificent and awesome the the site is. Angkor Wat kick-starts your breathtaking adventure.

Oleksandr Balkashyn

You shouldn’t miss this holy place when you are travel to Cambodia. 100 percent worst visiting. Don’t forget to find a guide , you can spend all you time there. You can make picnic there also.

Global Chef

One of the seven wonders of the world. A must see. Incredible how they managed to build many temples in the jungle. takes a good 2 hours to explore. Go on top of the middle pagoda. See by yourself

Fathima Dada

I just loved the grandeur and beauty of Angkor Wat. Be sure to climb to the highest level and breathe in the tranquil air. It must have been an amazing kingdom and temple in its heyday. I will return.

Richard Burkhill

They have gone from 8,000 visitors-per-day to just 300. So once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see it now, but also is well worth supporting. Can be done within 90mins, depending on speed and interest.

Ece C

Stunning! We’ve downloaded an interactive guide app before coming and visited the place at our own pace. Ticket office is open at 5am, better to go early to see the sunrise and avoid the heat.

Murat

Impressive! Takes 2hrs without a guide and with climbing up the top chamber (optional, requires waiting for 20min in line ). So picturisque and divine. A must see attraction . Have water avoid flipflops

Steven Wakuu

Enter the temple as soon as it opens. It's huge. You can get some beautiful photos without the crowd. Once it's done, come back out, snap some photos of the sunrise !

Simple Discoveries

Get your temple pass the day before you explore the temples . You can then come for sunset after 5pm and not have it count against your pass. For sunrise , go early! Stay by left pond for "the shot".

J-OSL

Dunno how to explain, such a fabulous place & totally worths to visit, walked to highest holy place of Angkor Wat to see the most respective part for royal ceremony.

Steven Wakuu

Got up for sunrise and (as expected) there are crowds of people here as well . The mood around the "photo spot " was a bit foul. People anxious, pushing and shoving to get the same photo you see online.

Mark J.

Absolutely speechless. Hands down one of the most amazing places I've ever been. There's an audioguide from an archaeologist available on the App Store that goes into great depth on the bas-reliefs.

Basil Gloo

Most visited place here. It's huge and epic. Be prepared for overheat, because there is no shade and wind inside, take water with you and cover from sun. Better visit in cloudy day)

Peter ®

it is really great! Better to spent more than one day to take the experience. take a mototaxi from siem reap for 2 persons for one day - the price depends, if you take a short or a long trip.

William Ng

The jewel of Cambodian heritage spanning a huge area. Beautiful wall carvings of Hindu mythology. Come in the morning to get a good photo opportunity with clear reflection in the water lily pond .

Juli Foranna Juliero

You can get inside after 4:30 when is closed to see the sunset and come back next day with the same ticket for sunrise at 5:30 am. Is a must see, one of my fav places in the world ????

1 of the 7 Wonder of the Ancient World- Must see!1st reason to come to Siem Reap! At lest 2-3 days and another 2-3 at different site like Tha Phrom, Nakon Thom etc....Better if you could get Guide .

Dave Digerati

Pre-dawn photos have the best light, but tracking the sun as it climbs up one of the towers was my fave. Bring towel to sit on and you can squeeze in front of the iPad crowd afraid of the mud.

Izwah Mahdar

Love everything about Angkor. It's so huge! Catch the sunrise , bring lotsa water. Wear comfortable clothes , shoes . Bring cap/hat/shade too.

Alang Jeff

If you are adventures type and looking for sunrise , rent a bicycle; USD 2, no deposit, start cycling at 4am, take about 30 minutes from royal palace area to Angkor’s entrance.

Wendy P

The archeological wonder of Angkor Wat and its surrounding temples shouldn't be missed when you visit Siem Reap, Cambodia. The entrance fee for one day ticket has increased from US20 - US37

Anand

The best time to visit the temple is during the sunrise (05:55 local time). Get a guide for $10-15 an hour to get the history of the temple .

Swiss In Hong Kong ????????????????

If you’re in Siem Reap, of course, you need to see this place. Biggest and impressive temples . But be aware that there are a lot of tourists .

Erik Bjers

Go early get a good spot by the pool. Check sunrise the night before to find out where it will cone up or get a sunrise app so you know the best place to stand. Park opens at 5 be there at 455.

Mamoru

Very great ruins.Good to visit in the afternoon if you want to the shooting in the order light.

Oun Lis

Sunrise is always at 6:30 am but if you do it earlier at 5:00 am at the Temple , you will have a chance to get the magical colors of the sun.

Benjamin ????

Absolutely get yourself a guide ! There is so much more to see than just this famous temple and it is worth the little bit extra to have someone show and explain the many sights to see.

Daria Aleshkova

One of the places you should definitely visit! I was there only for two days I would recommend to stay for a week and spend more time in each temple !

Quentin Lafon

One of the amazing temples of Angkor . Don't miss to take postcards pictures from the left side (facing the temple ). A must see in Cambodia !

G. M. Ale

Civilisation that thrived and died out during some 600 years in 900-1500. Brilliant water management systems could not help the final collapse. See the 8 km long artificial lake still holding water.

ANVl 22

Gregory K.

Bring good shoes . Some of stair climbs are very steep. Took about 45 min line wait for heaven god tower but worth it

Ashley Dando

Beautiful temple but there are more impressive ones nearby. This is the classic temple everyone thinks of so must be seen

James Bon Thai

Angkor Wat temple was built in 1122 and it was taken a time to build around 34 years and it is the biggest Hinduism temple in the world ( fine art ), etc.

Andy Thornton

A lovely aesthetic even with the tourist hordes. However sunrise is an unsatisfying cliché that can easily be skipped for a more atmospheric visit elsewhere in the park .

Grizel

Come here by sunset , an amazing sight to see. Topmost temple closes by 5:00 pm, make sure to catch it! Oh yeah, wear something with sleeves, sleeveless not allowed to go up the topmost temple .

TripStory

The amazing temples of Angkor . Hire a tuk-tuk driver/guide. Then spend the day wandering all the cracks and crevices this temple complex has to offer. A photographers dream. Great light all day long.

Ekaterina Moroshilova

Under 13 p.m. sun is straight to your eyes but after there are many tourists ! So, go to sunrise . Photos are just pictures, but it is a sense of Angkor's spirit that will depends on your future life!
