Known as the Tomb Raider temple , famous for the trees which grew into the structures , get here early for some peace and quiet , use the panorama function on your phones camera to get the full tree .
Tomb Raider fame. Come here before 7am to soak in the peace and quiet and truly appreciate this place. Otherwise, you'll remember only the frustration of tour group bottlenecks in the narrow doorways.
It’s the classic Tomb raider temple and one everyone wants to see. SO BUSY full of tour groups shouting and trying to take pictures. The outer area is better due to less people and pushing
Seeing the Strangler Figs growing on top of Ta Prohm has got to be one of the biggest draws to goings to Siem Reap, I know it was for me. Super Cool to see.
This Tomb Raider temple has got to be the most iconic image in all of Cambodia, you really expect Laura Croft to pop out at any time.
If you want to enjoy this temple , you should go before 7:30 am. Otherwise it will be crowded and it is a pity. One of my favorite if there are few people.
Even it is under construction , it is still an amazing place. Lots of big trees reserved at this place, the huge trees could show how old and incredible this place is.
The legendary "Tomb Raider" temple is crowded and you'll have to queue for some of the iconic photos, but the side rooms are less crowded and really get the energy of the temple .
Definitely one of the better smaller temples . Head here early after sunrise at angkor wat and you will feel like the archeologists did when they first discovered it, wondering around all alone!
I don't know how they filmed Tomb Raider in this small temple . It's so small! 😂 But still, a gorgeous sight to see trees intertwined with the buildings. Half still under construction (4/2019)
Yes, this is the place where movie was made ;) They didn't clean it from jungles, so you will see how time and jungles can eat everything around. Amazing atmosphere inside!
My favorite temple in Angkor Wat with huge trees coming out of stone bricks. The roots are a visual feast struggling for life on top of habitations. Also famous background for films like Thomb Raider
A delicately poised battle between nature and Khmer architecture , creating an awe inspiring site where the trees wage war with the temple walls. Expect huge tour crowds and super aggressive hawking.
Join a tour group or hire a personal tour guide so you can really go around the ruins without getting lost. The guide will also help you determine what section is still safe or under construction .
Definitely a must see. This temple was built 500 years ago and has been reclaimed by the jungle, the ficcus trees are 200 and 300 years old from the ficcus family. The temple now lives with the jungle
if you want to see the temple and its beauty emerge, come to the opening in 5:30-6:00. take tickets in advance because the box office opens at 7:00 am

Best before sunset , use wide angle lenses and go to corners since the buildings are thightly placed.
My favourite of all the Anngkor temples . Much more to this place than a Tomb Raider set. Easy to get lost. Tree roots intersect so much of these ruins - man vs nature!
My favorite temple of all. Those roots and trees are just amazing. No wonder why Angelina Jolie's "Lara Croft" movie chose this place. Really worth a visit.
Love the balance between architecture and mature on this sacred temple . It is simply worth visitig.
Well , nothing can prepare you for Ta Prom. It’s amazingly beautiful and a superb study on how nature integrates with human constructions over time, beautifully, if left alone.
Known for the "Tomb Raider" movie , this is one of the most magical temple of all Angkor. Try to go there early to avoid the crowd.
The slow battle between nature and a man-made wonder. And of course mother nature is winning.
Nice to see some of the vegetation left intact by the French. Although this is now being removed by the Indian restoration efforts. Guess the tree roots did more damage than good though.
Impressive! One of the major temples to see. Maybe the only one that nature influenced heavily. Takes 1,5hrs to visit. Avoid flipflops.
The best option is to visit this place early at the morning 7-8 am while there's no tourists , just to feel the abandoness of the place
Great place to visit, and witness the shockingly beautiful tree that grow on the temple .
Taprohm temple or you can call Jungle temple , abandoned temple , or tomb raider temple but a true name of this temple is Riech Vihear ( pagoda belongs to king ). My great king built for his mother.
This temple is known not just for its beauty but because Tombraider movie was filmed here. Restoration jobs in progress, you can witness the difference between the destroyed and restored parts.
Tomb Raider, anyone? Amazing place but gets crowded with all the visitors taking pictures.
If you can make sure you start your tour from this temple . Simply amazing!
Beautiful, love the trees . Look for hidden moments!
Beautiful trees . Also called the tomb raider temple .
Great‼︎ Integrated with the big tree ruins, such as the snake.
Nice place. Dream come true to see this. But meanwhile they're rebuilding the temple , a bit noisy .
Great site, with lots of overgrown trees straddling walls. Being restored right now though.
Probably my favourite temple in and around Angkor. Trees growing through the rocks make a spectacular sight
Take your time and see everything.
One Of The Most Amazing Place In The World
If you can't make it there early go during the 12:00 hour when all the tours are at lunch to experience this temple properly.
Take your time exploring this place, you'll find plenty of hidden gems !
Go early to avoid the crowds
The beautiful harmony of ancient civilization and nature!
Can be very crowded at a time but good thing is they already prepared route signage. You will never get lost.
Movies made this popular. Now under repairs but still leading attraction !!!
Visited in the early morning while it was quiet there was only a few tourists around.
A temple hundreds of years old, with great trees thousands of years old. Together they make a great scenic presentation.
Get a tuktuk. Bring an umbrella. Take lots of water with you.
Love everything about Angkor. It's so huge! Catch the sunrise, bring lotsa water. Wear comfortable clothes, shoes. Bring cap/hat/shade too. - Izwah Mahdar
Those 4 sided phases are so amazing, I had to buy a painting of it and it hangs in my sleeping room. Not the biggest temple though, but for sure a not to be missed one. - Stephane Aubry
It's a great place but be sure to be physically ready. You'll finish the trail tired and exhausted. Don't miss to visit every temple. - Kath Banoey
Best Entrance with plenty Parking and Restaurants. - Pornrapee Abhakorn
As you approach Angkor Wat, the scale and symmetry is awe inspiring. It’s a must visit on every bucket list. The atmosphere is palpable; dark side of the Khmer Rouge and lightness of spirituality. - Fathima Dada
Lots of unbelievably steep stairs but worth it for the view. - Andy Thornton
Very high temples with very steep steps, but an amazing view below. - Philip Luu
One of the minor temples in the area. Takes 40min. If time is an issue, this can be skipped. - Murat
Nice, cosy, peaceful. Great to walk around or have picnic. Located between the temples, gives a nice scene. Creates a beautiful view while having food at a restaurant nearby. - Murat
