Banteay Srei Temple ប្រាសាទបន្ទាយស្រី is a historic and protected site Siem Reap located in Cambodia.
Near the Hill of Phnom Dei Siem Reap Cambodia
Very intricate carvings ! If you're constrained on time in your visit of Siem Reap, you may want to pass on this temple given its distance (45-60min drive out), but it's a neat find if you have time.
Quite small compared to the grander temples of Angkor . Is the only temple not build by a king. Get there before 8am to enjoy a serene unhurried exploration and pleasant temperatures.
A must visit temple here. Come earlier to avoid group tourists . Better look up some information before coming or just hire a tour guide. That helps you to know more about this amazing place.
Kind of difficult to get to, but the carvings here are just amazing.
I think, this is one of the smallest temple here, but it's worth to go with special trip to see it! It looks amazing. Temple of Shiva, women's temple . It has so beautiful wall decor!
Long way out and fairly small but the intricate stone detail is incredible! Worth a visit for those who can appreciate the fine craftsmanship . Top tip: go seriously early to avoid crowds
Lady temple , small but beautiful, could be very busy, circle around 2times, until big tour group has gone and you would be able to take good photo,
Temple complex that has the best artistic detail. A must visit for tourist . Delicate details can be seen in most surfaces.
Beautiful temple with beautiful well preserved carvings above the door. Brown red stones; different from the usual grey. Recommended!
What I like about this temple is the color of the walls and structures . Simply beautiful.
Come in the morning for beautiful light from the east. Come after lunch to avoid the tour bus crowds, but it would be sweltering.
The small exhibition hall is a must-visit. Very well organized and illustrative.
Absolutely amazing temple - must do when in Siem Reap although a bit remote from the city . Also worth visiting the exhibition , very interesting.
Very nice temple , quite different to the inner city ones. On the way back, stop at Akira's land mine museum .
The most delicate of all the temples . Small in size but very ornamental! Simply beautiful!
I suggest getting here early. The temple has narrow spaces and gets quite crowded when all the tour groups arrive.
Beautiful temple - well worth the trek from the main angkor complex
Petite but also beautifully ornate. The most detailed of all Angkor temples and well worth the trip.
Really pretty! Pretty far from siem reap but definitely worth it. The carvings are the prettiest of all the temples in my opinion.
Probably the nicest temple near Siem Reap! Go early...
There are public bathrooms . Enjoy the trip here, the countryside is so nice.
Banteay Srei means "Citadel of Ladies",all the details of this temple made by women, very nice.
One of the most beautiful temples of Angkor
Very beautiful site away from the temple ruins in the city center though is it smaller. The carvings are very detailed.
Tourist friendly . More organized and cleaner compared to the other temples .
One of the finest temples , 40km from Siem Reap (1.30 hrs by tuk-tuk). Same ticket as Angkor Wat.
Crowded , but exquisite carvings and a lovely red color from the stone.
Usually toured at the last part, so take a lunch break first as this is going to be a long walking tour again.
Also known as the ladies temple , this red temple is different from the others and deserves to be seen despite his distance from siem reap.
Beautiful carving ⋯amazing temple⋯!
Nice temple but tiny and very crowded . You should go there pretty early to avoid full bus of Chinese tourists
Beautiful temple during sunset
if u visit here at 9:30 am, u will meet Monster group tours .
From the unique and beautiful Banteay Srei , one might want to go on to Kbal Spean ( river of a thousand lingas)
I think this was one of the temples I liked a lot.
2 dollar for VIP access to restriction area..
Only trousers or long knee-length skirt are permitted
A "Red" Temple . The style is uniquely difference here.
Start your tour here, before 8am you will be alone, at 9am expect tourist bus No 20
Could not believe that this is the crafing stone
Queen temple
Sehr beindruckend. Ein Besuch sollte das absolute Pflichtprogramm sein.
