Used to be my local when I lived in Lancaster. Good food and drink options after a quick walk. Great for a beer with outdoor seating in the summer. Wonder what ever happened to Nigel the landlord?

Sunday night is steak night. Rump steak , chips , tomato and onion rings for two and a bottle of wine for £25. Our steaks were cooked excellently. Recommended.

Drinking Lakeland lager, a rare change from my normal hoppy craft ale usual. Great spacious pub with fantastic range without an ounce of pretence from the friendly staff. Food is awesome too! - Rob Crouch
