Beautiful bar found in 17th century wine cellars . Very atmospheric venue. Great real ales .

What an amazingly historical basement pub , tucked underneath the approach to the castle . Lovely staff , front garden , local food and selection of ales . My first and still favourite pub in Lancaster!

Interested, vaulted pub dating from 1688, decent food, nice outdoor area at the front where you can watch the world walk by.

Great bar with good pub food , cask ales & wines in really nice setting. Well worth a look in. Check the specials board facing the bar .

Use to be the best burger in town . It's not anymore because they are adding to little Lancashire cheese .

Nice boozer, but... £3.20 for a pint of real ale .

Make sure that you get what you order. It seems that the cook does not understand the concepts of 'seared' and 'sautéed'. Not very tasty... I'll avoid the place in the future.
