阿修羅像などの仏像がオープン展示 となり、わずか1mほどの至近距離から直接拝見できるよう になりました。阿修羅とは 「asu ra」…「生命・asuを与える・ra者」 （梵語・古代インド 語）が由来です(*^_^*)

食堂と細殿（ほそどの）を連結して内部を一堂とした建物で、正面３５．３ｍ、側面３１．８ｍの本瓦葺き建物です。
昭和３４年（1959）に鉄筋コンクリート造りの耐火式宝物収蔵庫として建てられました。
チケットは建物内入り口で買います。カード使えません。
千手観音 の圧倒さが好き。

千手観音 菩薩像はぜひ本物を見てください。
阿修羅像がより身近に見られるよう になりました。人気のため、入場まで暫く待たされる場合も…。

平成26年9月8日〜平成28年3月予定で改修工事が行われるため、休館します。この間、青銅器館は無料観覧でき、仏教美術資料センターも無料で特別公開されます。(ただし、正倉院展期間中は除く) - K.Watch
