If you are staying on the top floors (24th and up) the view is great! Seriously amazing view ! The staff is sweet, helpful and prepared! Food is nice. No to the noise due to constructions/renovation.
The rooms are bigger and comfortable . The staff is polite and friendly . Food is up to standard. On weekdays for the lunch better to have a prior reservation . Rooms are ending with "11" have see views
Get a room on a high floor with a room number ending in 11 (811, 911, 1011, etc). These are on the corners and have an amazing views of the ocean.

Hilton Colombo is closing down for a long term renovation on December..... Maybe 1 to 1 1/2 years.... I'm going to miss all the friendly staff as some already moved to Kingsbury....
This is one and only the best place in Colombo! Lunch gets quite crowded . So do make a reservation over the phone. A la carte menus are not that upto standard. Desserts are quite good.

Don't get misled by it's high rank, lousy service, they gave HHonor an "upgrade" which is a downgrade, non HHonor members got a cake and a newly renovated room , we're downgraded to an old room.
