The dinner buffet in Taprobane is great. Superb price/quality/taste and diversity. Actually one of the greatest I've ever seen. (and trust me, I have seen quite some buffets all over the world)

Always reserve a table at taprobane . It's bound to be full almost every week day. Also a 3 course la carte menu is a more economical choice than buffet .

Good location, near but not next to the beach . There is a mall near by close at 8:30 pm. Gift shop inside the hotel has unique collection of accessories from brand Amrapali, NY.

Packed full most of the time, the in-house buffet is excellent, the rooms are spacious with bathrooms having bathtubs was cool.

try the pizza on the pool deck. its new on the menu and tastes really good. the small pizza is rs.250 and it can fill up one person.

Chutneys Restaurant is Very Good for South Indian Food - Vegetarian Or Non-Vegatarian. However Customer Service is Not one of it's Strong Points!

Overall a good place. Hotel is very busy throughout the year with many functions, conferences and meetings happening regularly.

Their Breakfast Buffet is unbeatable. I mean Smoked Salmon sashimi included... The reason we keep coming back....

Visit the Christmas Shop next to the bookstore at cinnamon for some Christmas treats you'd fall for. Mince pies , snow man cakes etc and my favorite mince pies .

Ethernet only in the rooms - so forget about any device that can't plug in (Mac Air, iPad etc). Wifi available in the lobby at $10 per hour !!! Cheaper to move hotel if you don't have ethernet device
