This is the trip you shouldn't miss while staying in the city . There are so many good vista points that may give your best-lifetime picture. Be prepared and get your phones fully charged: A+
Best time for a visit is in the late afternoon/early evening, otherwise the sun will dry you out. Take plenty of water with you (there's a fountain with cold spring water right at the entrance)!!
If you want to rest and inhale the view , there are a few cafes serving fresh juice , water, ice cream and beer along the route. Many photo ops!
Stretching over 2 kilometres, these powerful walls have made the old city a safer place to live since the 13th century. These days, they offer a great walk and view over Dubrovnik and the sea! Read more
A must in Dubrovnik. It leads round the city for different angles of the old town . Highly recommend to stop by the cafes along to enjoy the beautiful sea view .
This is the experience of a lifetime. It's expensive , but it's the best you can do in this great city . Views are breathtaking! Must to do in Dubrovnik!
Should get the Dubrovnik day (24hrs ) ticket for 170 Kn which will include entrance to the walls . Make sure to wear sturdy shoes as there are many steps and the stones can make it slippery.
Try to avoid walking around the walls in the middle of the day as it gets very hot with little or no shade. Lovely view across the roofs of the old town and Lokrum island from Minčeta Tower
Pricey ? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. Dedicate a couple of hours for this. These historical walls are truly breathtaking. If you only do one thing in this city , let it be this.
An absolute must. Avoid the hottest part of the day as it's very exposed. There are cafes dotted along the walls which serve expensive drinks. Get a dubrovnik card ! This attraction pays for itself!
Great walk with amazing views . Costs 150kn. Do it in the evening and start at about 5PM to get a sunset in...
At 150kn per person the walls are more expensive than St Paul’s Cathedral or Plitviče National Park (which you could spend two days at easily!)
Make sure you walk the walls either early morning or late afternoon as the sun can get intense! Excellent views of the city on some very well preserved walls .
When you're already in Dubrovnik, you will definitely wanna go here. On hot days it might not be the best place if you're out of shape, as some uphill parts can be a bit taxing. Bring water.
A must do activity when in dubrovnik. My tip is to go early about 8 or 9am to avoid the queues. Some of the views of the city from the walls are breathtaking.
Great walk! You can see the whole old town from above. One of the nicest experiences here. Ticket costs 200kn
Excellent 2km walk. Plenty of towers. Lovely views across the city rooftops .
Not to be missed. You can do the whole thing in 50 mins. There are 3 cafes , 1 drink/ice cream stand & a few souvenir vendors. The only restroom I saw was in the cafe closest to the Old Port entrance.
This is the must do activity in Dubrovnik. Get here no later than 9:30 to do the circuit to beat the heat and the cruise ship hordes. Bring water and wear a hat.
Stunning walk. Great views over the rooftops of the city and out to sea.
Ticket is 150K (reduced for students with ISIC or EYC). Be sure to put sunscreen on, bring water and prepare yourself for long queues and big crowds. Also, never walk in opposite direction.
Really recomend you to spend The money for climbing on the city walls it was worth it. P.s. there are huge discounts for students with isic.
Great Wall Of Dubrovnik Old Town . The total length of the city wall is 1940 meters. The entrance fee is 100 kuna. #CityWalls #got #Dubrovnik #croatia
Mind the entrance fee=120 kuna and closing time=15:00(3p.m).The whole route takes about 2 hours. In February it's windy and no coffee points on your way
Do a full lap around the walls ! And be sure to visit Fort Lovrijenac afterwards (free with walls ticket)
Unique experience for the sunset ???? walls offer you the best old town view and the most romantic walking path of Dubrovnik.
You can't come to Dubrovnik and skip the wall . The views are breathtaking and it is the best way to get a feel for the geography of the city .
It takes about 1,5 hours to walk all around. It is very scenic but be careful as the walls are quite high and there is no protection against falling. However, it is so beautiful on a sunny day.
If you're a student don't forget to bring your student ID, you'll get a 70% discount for the entrance fee and you'll only have to pay 30 kuna instead of 100 ;-)
Great views of the old town from the walls , can be tough in the heat so best to do earlier or later in the day when it is cooler
Gorgeous place, loads of walking but absolutely worth it! There is also few juicebars where you can get freshly squeesed juices . Yammy!
Nice views , beautiful landscape. If you don't wanna die, go just before the sunset . Less people, cool pictures and no heat!
My Garmin says it was a 3km walk. Almost all stairs ???? 2 hours walking because of photos and enjoying the view ????
The cost has increased to 200kn per person (VERY expensive considering just last year, in 2020, it was 50kn/person), but it’s worth doing at least once for the views .
Highlight of the experience, walking around the walls looking at the city and the sea
Well worth the price! You will have amazing views on both the port and the inner old town of Dubrovnik
Quit expensive , but it’s absolutely worth it! So beautiful!
One advice : go here early in the morning to avoid the crowd. Amazing view of the city .
Expensive but worth it. Save your ticket so you can go to Fort Lovrijenac and don’t have to pay another 15 euros - you have 3 days to use it
Amazing place with amazing view . A must visit for sure and visit the fort
Almost two kilometres in length, Dubrovnik’s city walls are among the best preserved and most attractive on this planet, and a walk along them is an absolute must. Read more
Beautifully stunning, but expensive and way too crowded . A must do in Dubrovnik. But not height of summer!!!
Go up and have a picnic . Enjoy the unique view .
Amazing views that you can't miss, although a very tiring and long walk in the heat—go on a cool day!
Dubrovnik is nicknamed as "Pearl of the Adriatic" and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Best views in Dubrovnik. A must!
Amazing views of the city and the seascape from the old town walls .
Definitely worth it to spend the hour walking the walls . Go in the morning - less hot, and fewer people.
You'll be tired after the walk, but the views are worth it!
It worth to see the city from the walls .

It is very pleasant with nice restaurants, cafes and bars. Walking by the sea and around the walls is also amazing. Many boat tours are available. Sit on a cafe, and do people watching. - Murat
Must see! We went for sunset, and we went on a moonlit evening. Both beautiful (but cold! bring a jacket/scarf - temp goes down at night) - Clare
