莫愁湖公园是南京著名古典园林，是融合六朝文化为一体的风景名胜公园。公园水陆面积58.36公顷，主要景点有莫愁女故居、胜棋楼、抱月楼、粤军烈士墓、海棠专类园、水榭、湖心亭、中日友好鸢尾园等。

莫愁湖，是一座有着1500年悠久历史和丰富人文资源的江南古典名园，为六朝胜迹，有“江南第一名湖”、“金陵第一名胜”、“金陵四十八景之首”等美誉。 莫愁湖古称横塘，因其依石头城，故又称石城湖。相传南齐时，有洛阳少女莫愁，因家贫远嫁江东富户卢家，移居南京石城湖畔。莫愁端庄贤慧，乐于助人，后人为纪念她，便将石城湖改名为莫愁湖。 现已成为南京标志性景点之一。
乌龙潭公园，靠近省人民医院、胸科医院等，历史上一直就是周围居民怨声载道的臭水沟，后来改建为公园，建于1983年。附近有魏源故居等人文历史遗存。后各种附会，建有曹雪芹纪念馆、颜鲁公祠等场所。 - njhuar
