Very beautiful building, but what a run down art museum . A cornucopia of works that don't go together. The nicest pieces were war time sketches, and prints on rice paper . But a very strange museum
Vietnamese modern art . Offers a beautiful insight into the the mindset and pulse of the Vietnamese people.
Worth visiting to look at mansion n art . Love d paintings , sculptures , architecture . Interpretation of pieces could be better. 10k dong per pax. Totally worth it. Need 1-1.5 hrs. Start fr 3rd level.
Our Travel Agent also provide Vietnam Tour Package, Our Clients & guests often visit this museum . it's a nice place Read more
Very poorly managed museum but at 30k dings, it's worth spending half an hour, admiring the colonial architecture , and checking out some of the local art (the best is on the top floor).
The main building as you enter captured the historic, painful times of people in Vietnam very well . Entrance fee is 10,000VND (approximately RM2)
Worth the 10k VD entry. Budget a couple of hours. No AC but the French colonial hallways w/ French doors let in a lovely breeze as you wander the halls of modern art paintings . 7/10
Poorly maintained but varied and unique collection of primarily Vietnamese artists . Many galleries centered around art of the Vietnam war
Enjoyed the modern art , especially the war posters.
On top of the great paintins, in the basemant of the buildings thay have a gallery of local and good artists that sell at decent prices
Interesting story about the building :)) A suitable place to enjoy art through ages!
Absolutely worth checking the different artists & items.
No airconditioner.But nice paintings .
This museum has no air conditioning , and a lot of ground to cover.
Good place to learn History !
it's really hot to "enjoy" the art in the afternoon... the weather is killing me.
If you go, go for the odd experience of a Fine Arts Museum in a dilapidated colonial building, though even that should make you more sad than anything else.
Beautiful.
The tennis court in the middle is geat.... :D
Upsetting. The building is in disarray, and a lack of climate control means that the paintings are actually melting in the heat.
This pic is sad
