Historical site not to miss when in Saigon. They close from 11:00-13:30. Impressive to see the room where independence between North and South Vietnam was declared in 1975.
Go early to make the most of it as it closes mid-morning (around 11:30am). Admission runs 30,000 VND but is worth seeing the interior. Be sure to spend some time wandering the bunkers downstairs.
The palace is closed for lunch from 12noon-1pm, and is also available for function hire, so the ground floor may not be available to tour . #vietnam #hcmc #museum #attraction
An interesting place to visit and certainly something cool to see when you visit Ho Chi Minh city . Make sure to visit the bunker in the basement
This is a great place to visit if you love kitschy stuff cause you'll get a lot of that here. The kitschiness you'll get on the floor with the entertainment stuff and also the bunker in the basement .
Opens 730am. Need at least 2 hrs. Start at level 1, watch video before touring various levels. View helicopter on level 5. Use lift to level 4. 30k dong (adults), 3k dong (child). A steal for history!
From 12pm untill 1:30 this sight closed. I arrived on the rooftop to find this information out and was directed out the building. Great sight however and worth the visit.
Historical place! Be sure to spend a while here.Scenic spot.Visit the bunker!
You just need to visit the place if you're first time in Saigon . Nothing particularly interesting, just a massive example of Vietcong-Soviet architecture and interior design . Also pretty crowded .
Simple but stunning architecture . Great rooftop views . Look out for the bombing markings near the helicopter
Go all the way to the top of the palace . Great views some nice shade and the coldest abs best priced beer in district 1 (20kvnd / can)
Very interesting history, that building and its rooms had an interesting role during the Vietnam war.
Nice place for a quick history lesson. We enjoyed the well preserved settings and it was a good walk thru. Entrance fee of 30k VND
The ticket counter is in the gift shop to the right of the entrance. Definitely worth a visit.
A 60's palace . If you have enough time in Ho Chi Minh it is worth it!
Only 30k for The museum and the park . Plenty of information everywhere, check out all the levels from -2 to 5!
Tours (in English) every 15 min that take you through the four main levels and the basement too.
Frozen in time, 1960s style decor. Like being in an old James Bond movie .
The "don't judge the book by its cover" motto exists in this place. Its very simple outside but very rich inside. Culture, history and the love for their people.
A historic site ,President Palace of South Vietnam Regime pre 1975, after 1975,this place name Reunion Palace ,nice decor and many important history stories happen...
A nice place with really intriguing architecture . Try going off the beaten path for an adventure.
Its very interesting if you know your history snd why this place is important. So read up before you go otherwise it will be not so grand
Great place to visit if you want to understand Vietnam's history. Check the films in the bunker.
The place may be big and looks repetatative but it has different functions. Check out the basement , I find it to be the most interesting.
Walk around, up and down, left and right, basement too... so you dont miss any spot not visited!
A great place for special occasion , like "3D Mapping" show from France, on 12/13/13. Wonderful!
Beautiful architecture
Beware of motorcyclists nearby entrance area... They will try to approach you to provide an hour city tour . In the end they are gonna charge you VND1,500,000 per person. Kindly take note.
It would be best to take one of the guided tours as there are no signs giving any information in the building!
Architecturally very cool. Should only take 1 hour to go through. Cafes in in the park to relax after.
Definitely recommend checking out this odd, well-preserved Vietnamese time capsule.
The bunker reminded us of actual war scenario. You can feel its intense moment. Do not missed this place.
Can organise special dinner at reception hall with nice decoration stage and traditional performance . Such a special gala dinner
A curious attraction . If you enjoy architecture , history or foreign policy this should be of interest. If not, you might be very bored.
The free guided tours were cancelled: now you should pay 200k dongs for it ;)
Very interesting and well preserved from the 1970s
Independence Palace - Reunification Palace - Must- Destination in Ho Chi Minh City . See more at http://saigon-online.net/?p=1879
Go to the basement first to watch the free video about the history about reunification palace . It puts the rest of the tour into context and makes the tour far more rewarding.
Interesting tour . History slanted towards Viet communist's version but that is to be expected.
Get the two tickets together and worth it.
Was good to have a look around. Some pretty cool old school architecture .
Get the audio guide. Need an ID and some dong for deposit.
First timer to Saigon to do list. Once you seen it, you can't be bothered to come back again to see it.
Cash only . No cards accepted. Audioguides in many languages available.
Most popular place for visitors. Mark historical milestone of Vietnam
Check out Nha Hang Cafe also inside the campus
I am amazed to see the things the late ambassador used to have before. 💕
