Great place to deep-dive into Vietnamese markets . Bring your negotiation skills, tea and coffee are offered for 3-4 times more than worth it. The ladies are hard to crack but do love bargaining ????????

Kwok Tang

Market serving mainly tourists & some locals. Sells everything from coffee , food, bags & souvenirs . Easily accessible both in terms of the actual market & buying. Downside - prices not the cheapest

Kwok Tang

Great place to go to if you've just arrived in Saigon for the first time. Has lots of food stalls selling the main types of Vietnamese food under 1 roof. Most dishes are about VND40,000 or £1.20.

Dave Mc

Really a fun Market , I also buy multi-KG of coffee while here, it’s awesome and reasonably priced. Buy only beans though, ground coffee is often 1/2 coffee and 1/2 cooked maize.

Dave Mc

If you look around and are a fairly good haggler, you can get a really phenomenal deal on cashew nuts if you like them.

Phat Buoy

Beware of pickpockets. Good market with a lot of genuinely nice people. Don't forget to haggle to at least 50% under starting price

Kim Pham

Obviously a tourist trap, but you can find some nice steals. Most of the stalls you can haggle at, but there are fixed price stalls in case you're not up for it!

MK Chan

This market is must visit place, u can buy anything as U want. It is very hot inside and watch ur variable. Right now, MRT is under construction in front of market . Please take care...

Girl Travel Factor

Tourists can find Vietnamese traditional women clothing called Ao Dai in Ben Thanh Market , bought one for me and I love it!

Khanh Dang

The infamous market where you better bargain like no other! It really is Saigon's bazaar Great place to buy materials etc but tough for fruits . Go early to check out the wet market action!

Kwok Tang

This market is really geared towards locals. Not tourist friendly , pretty cramped & hot. Prices are probably cheaper than Ben Thanh market . Some gd food stalls on the g/f on the left

Anastasija Blinova

Come hungry - the place has lots to offer. Market sells cloths , food, coffee and tea . Haggle hard! I’ve definitely went too soft and paid 700,000 VND for a bag of coffee and 2 teas .

Simon Phan

Exotic and maze-like experience! Being a local myself, I still find it amazing what you can find in BT market . Well-known for good, rare local fabrics (gấm) and suits materials.

Kazutaka Nakajo

Big Market in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam. You can buy many items (original and copy). Such as clothes , shoes , watch, bags, sunglass, foods & drinks. Better to buy in registered shop(fixed price ad).

Jing Lee

Hot and steamy place! But it's a good place for last minute cheap stuff, delicious humongous dried and fresh fruits (Vietnamese avocado the size of your face)

Ting

Good to do some research and know how much the market rate is cos some of the published rates are highly inflated. They expect you to bargain so bargain you must.

David Hledik

my 2nd visit, wanted some light trousers - first price offer 490VND. 2nd offer 300VND. as they didn't fit and I was about to leave - 3rd offer 150VND. she was literally holding my hand to buy it.

MK Chan

Very interesting shopping mall , ask for discount everything. But, watch ur bag when u walk around. It is very hot, don't forget to bring towel and cold drink

Adrian Ong

Make sure you bargain where you can and when you get to the food area be ready to be hassled to take a seat for food and drinks. If you are a fan of sugar cane juice you can get it for 7k

Eric

Sellers here are pushy but you can do some serious haggling to get cheap goods. Food stalls are also aggressive but produce some delicious results. You can try durian or get a whole boiled crab !

MIrSyah Ariffin

Do practice ur bargaining skills. Forced them to follow ur price until they give up n agree. If no, just walk away. Do count ur cash when they return ur balance, they tend to give u lesser..

Bkinny????

This is not Ben Thanh. It's a wholesale fabric shops inside. Hot and sticky place! But outside I'm able to find my wrappers to make cha gio( not the rice ones) and fresh bun/flat, wide noodles

Lina Lim

Yes, u can haggle to 40% of the price quoted by them. Be prepared that they will say they making a loss because of you, but i think they are still earning. So go for a reasonable price u are ok to pay

Kwok Tang

I'd highly recommend the stall selling banh cuon aka rice rolls /'cheung fun '. Really tasty, thin pastry - perfection

George Joseph

You can spend hours here finding new lanes to walk down and sampling crazy looking food. Don't be afraid to bargain for a massive discount . It's common to get stuff at half the price quoted (or less)

Pau

Full of bargain if you are smart. Otherwise you will overpaid for fakes. Anyway, you have to go and take a look. It is worth it!

Martina Brusatore

Shop shop shop...eat eat eat...its Very turistic But its fine.you can Buy everything at Low price But remember. ..If you pay 35€ for a pair of new nike They are fake. .But a Good one

Nida Jaafar

Dry snacks , clothes , souvenirs n so many things u can get here. Bargain is a must! i love this place and i can see so many malaysians here!

Andi Dimalanta

Go in the morning usually they let you haggle for 100% off the price they give :) for trinkets, go to entrance 6, enter the main market and the first stall to the right gives good price

S P

Must visit if in HCMC... From trinkets to craft work and clothes and food... Well everything.

Elise ❥

Come here for fresh fruits and vegetables , luxury good replicas and local crafts . Get ready to bargain!

Rosalind Hong

Before went in to the Market , try to view the price from here is cheaper than inside but cannot discount already, fixed price. If u went inside normally can discount 50% or above..

Margareth Panggabean

A-must-bargain market ! You can visit it either in the morning (06.00AM-06.00PM)/ in the night (06.00PM-00.00AM). Beware of Pickpocket! For Indonesian, some of the sellers can speak Indonesia language.

Shomyza S

Check a couple of stalls before you buy anything especially the ones that say fixed price-will give you an estimate of how much you should be bargaining at! walkaway they'll definitely lower over 50%

Gaia Carradori

Fresh fruits and Vegetables everywhere. The juices and smoothies inside are really delicious. Must visit!

Vietnam720

The shops immediately to the left and right from the main entrance has reasonable prices with price tags so you dont have to worry about being ripped off. :)

AManda HUang

Just bargain to half from the original price. Ben thanh is more pricy compared to other markets . But if u can bargain go for it :) I've got cheated with the price twice. Nonetheless good place to shop

Franco Marinari Acciani

A must see place in Saigon full of life and interesting things

Ben R

Visit the food stalls to sample lots of different foods. They are clean and safe and, unlike the rest of the market , not a rip-off.

Bkinny????

You must knock the price by half, and if its not given then just walk away... More than half the time they will sell you what you want. And with fruits too. Ask for a better price. Usually it works.

チュ リー

Don't be shy to argue. And yes, most of the Brand’s sold here are imitations. If you have the time, you can get local stuff cheaper at other places.

Mai

The more you buy, the more of a discount you should request. If they won't give you a good price, walk away and they might sell it to you at the price you want. iPho shirts can go for 40,000-50,000VND

Tony Gandia

Typical Asian market , get used to lots of haggling and aggressive vendors. But food court is great place to experience street-food like food without being on the street

Julian Si

Prepare to pay 450-500,000 VND for a kilo of divine Lotus nuts - Love them!

Scott Anstett

A great market experience. Fairly clean and organized . There is a digital map of stalls at one of the entrances.

Bernie Duff

Ben Thanh Mkt has many of those souvenirs you may be looking for. It is a large market that caters to international visitors. They have clothing , electronics , jewelry and food, among other things.

Ridzwan Mohamed

Feel like in Malaysia when some sellers are speaks in Malay language ("Mari masuk, murah-murah) and they are also accept MYR

Ramkumar Sundarakalatharan

Street market ! Prepare to do lot of Negotiations. A normal 100.000 T-shirt will start from 750.000 VND.

@JaumePrimero

Not only is this the best place for bargain shopping, I also enjoyed the people watching . Stand firm on the price you want!

Nazeri Yahaya

a lot of tourist from around the world came here just to see and buy the "original" stuffs like hand bag, bagpack etc. need to hard bargain if you want to get better price!!
