Great place to go to if you've just arrived in Saigon for the first time. Has lots of food stalls selling the main types of Vietnamese food under 1 roof. Most dishes are about VND40,000 or £1.20.

Really a fun Market , I also buy multi-KG of coffee while here, it’s awesome and reasonably priced. Buy only beans though, ground coffee is often 1/2 coffee and 1/2 cooked maize.

If you look around and are a fairly good haggler, you can get a really phenomenal deal on cashew nuts if you like them.

Beware of pickpockets. Good market with a lot of genuinely nice people. Don't forget to haggle to at least 50% under starting price

This market is really geared towards locals. Not tourist friendly , pretty cramped & hot. Prices are probably cheaper than Ben Thanh market . Some gd food stalls on the g/f on the left

Come hungry - the place has lots to offer. Market sells cloths , food, coffee and tea . Haggle hard! I’ve definitely went too soft and paid 700,000 VND for a bag of coffee and 2 teas .

Big Market in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam. You can buy many items (original and copy). Such as clothes , shoes , watch, bags, sunglass, foods & drinks. Better to buy in registered shop(fixed price ad).

Hot and steamy place! But it's a good place for last minute cheap stuff, delicious humongous dried and fresh fruits (Vietnamese avocado the size of your face)

Good to do some research and know how much the market rate is cos some of the published rates are highly inflated. They expect you to bargain so bargain you must.

Make sure you bargain where you can and when you get to the food area be ready to be hassled to take a seat for food and drinks. If you are a fan of sugar cane juice you can get it for 7k

Sellers here are pushy but you can do some serious haggling to get cheap goods. Food stalls are also aggressive but produce some delicious results. You can try durian or get a whole boiled crab !

Do practice ur bargaining skills. Forced them to follow ur price until they give up n agree. If no, just walk away. Do count ur cash when they return ur balance, they tend to give u lesser..

This is not Ben Thanh. It's a wholesale fabric shops inside. Hot and sticky place! But outside I'm able to find my wrappers to make cha gio( not the rice ones) and fresh bun/flat, wide noodles

Yes, u can haggle to 40% of the price quoted by them. Be prepared that they will say they making a loss because of you, but i think they are still earning. So go for a reasonable price u are ok to pay

A-must-bargain market ! You can visit it either in the morning (06.00AM-06.00PM)/ in the night (06.00PM-00.00AM). Beware of Pickpocket! For Indonesian, some of the sellers can speak Indonesia language.

Just bargain to half from the original price. Ben thanh is more pricy compared to other markets . But if u can bargain go for it :) I've got cheated with the price twice. Nonetheless good place to shop

Visit the food stalls to sample lots of different foods. They are clean and safe and, unlike the rest of the market , not a rip-off.

You must knock the price by half, and if its not given then just walk away... More than half the time they will sell you what you want. And with fruits too. Ask for a better price. Usually it works.

Don't be shy to argue. And yes, most of the Brand’s sold here are imitations. If you have the time, you can get local stuff cheaper at other places.
