Best meal in Hanoi ! The set meal = overpriced tourist scam. Just order cha ca + beer & enjoy! There's also more available than what's on the English menu, so ask. Food was great; so fresh & perfect.
Northern Vietnam’s signature dish, chà ca, takes a turn: white fish is marinated in galangal, shrimp paste & turmeric, then sautéed at your table. More places to eat like a local: tandl.me/12ufz7c
Looks like simple dish but its really a must try in Hanoi! I had my year's worth of quota for spring onion ..the way the fish is cook is really good and theres no mud taste.
Only grilled catfish with dill but it is mighty good. If you go for the set menu , you get a beer , and a vietnamese tea and fruit platter for dessert . Get here early. Opens at 6pm and it fills quickly!
Savoury Chả Cá Lăng (fried turmeric fish in dill ) and fried fish spring roll . Take some noodles to your bowl, top it with green onions , mint leaves , peanuts and fish . Drizzle with sauce and eat.
I have been here twice. First, had the catfish (cha ca) in the menu. Second, was with a local friend. He knew what to order, and the catfish , noodles and dill just kept coming. The fish is amazing!
Some of the best food I had in Hanoi. The fish was perfectly cooked and so tasty when paired with the fried dill ! One serving is 120,000 dong!
A northern Vietnamese turmeric-marinated fish fillets served in a sizzling skillet on the table along with heaps of dill and scallions , add vermicelli rice noodle , peanuts , and Vietnamese fish sauce
This place has the best Cha Ca to my opinion. I have tried Cha Ca in many restaurants around Hanoi but still cant find better one up to now
I’m not a huge fish eater but really here it’s amazing. The combination of the marinade + the fresh fried greens + the herbs + the sauce makes it actually incredible.
Cha Ca is delicious! Foreigners, don't be afraid to come in: They will show you how to eat it:) We ordered one Cha ca for TOP and that was more than enough.
Don’t need a menu just order Cha ca serving to numbers of your group. Photo is Cha Ca for 2 pax. All sides, veggie and noodle can ask for more ❤️
Such a simple concept. No menu required. This place only serves fish that you cook at your table with vermicelli , fish sauce and dill . A good find in Hanoi.
Great lunch spot . Impeccably fast service . Their one dish is hot pot fish with noodles . Absolutely amazing.
For the set menu , the dessert is just bananas . Literally. Heads up.
Dill fish is fresh and sweet and savory at the same time. Couldn’t get enough of the veggies here honestly.
Set menu fish with dill and turmeric. Pile everything in a bowl with noodles , herbs, chilis, etc. delicious!
Best meal in Hanoi ! Only one thing on the menu (cha ca) and it's the only thing you need +beer
Traditional Cha Ca cooked at your table! Don't let the drab interior fool you; it's more expensive than your average street food , but absolutely delicious
Grilled tumeric fish with dill and spring onion . Love the herbs and flavors more than the fish
Cat fisch was really nice ;-) combination. Of sauces and fresvh herbs was just amazing
Really tasty, one meal set with beer , desert and tea is USD 8. Superb service and great food!
There is only one dish here and it is delicious. The waiters will help you cook it as you do this yourself. Excellent and highly recommend.
I was caught off guard by this place, but I am sure happy I stuck it out. The fish was delicious! Your waitress will show you how to eat it if you are new to this.
You can share the set menu for 1 for 2 people! If you're just snacking . They will even let you split the beer . Great food.
Good alternative to cha ca la vong. Fish meat comes in bigger pieces. Only thing missing is the prawn sauce and crackers . Nonetheless still very enjoyable.
Fried fish with dill and all the sides - cooked at your table. Cheap and very cheerful!
Very authentic and tasty! One of the few places you’ll find both tourists and locals
Authentic , friendly staff , a bit expensive but worth the money!
Very good dish, delicious and unique for Vietnamese cuisine .
Like the fish here and lots of vege ! !
Sinced they've Michelin and expanded, it's very crowded . Less homey and lower service than before.
If you're in Hanoi, try this place for lunch . Just sit down and let them bring you fish with all the stuff that goes with it! Delicious.
They only serve one thing here — cha ca— and they do it very, very well . Staff will cook the fish and herbs at your table.
Delicious and simple dish. Good service , the waiter comes and stirs everything for you and shows you how to assemble your bowl.
Delicious! Don't get the meal, that desert is just pomelo and salt.
Chả cá is fantastic. Mix well with cilantro and peanuts . Don't forget to turn down the flame when the oil starts spattering everywhere.
Cha ca is really really great! Must eat in Hanoi!
The fish cha ca is absolutely amazing. Must have for your visit to Hanoi.
We have more tasty fishes in our country :) but sauce and service and experience were really good
Affordable and delicious meal. They serve one dish here only which is the cha ca.
Only one choice but you don’t need more! I’ve love it, and I’m not eating seafood at all!
Everyone will need to be a dinner at this restaurant.. No sharing..
Really taste good and very good service too.
Very very awesome. It’s tradition food in HaNoi
Simple, good fish cha ca, cooked on your table. Mostly locals. Clean and easy to find.
AMAZING. Took my american pescatarian friend here and she loved it too.
Back again after 4 years and Cha Ca is still the ultimate ????????????????
The server will prepare the meals for you. A must try while in Hanoi!
very nice food. recommended by local ppl because of they use all "Lang fish " to cook not mix with other fish .
50k for a full bowl of sticky rice (xoi xeo - which is green bean sticky green bean mash) with mixes meat. delicious. very friendly staff, good service. - Tuyen Dang
Lively, mix of locals, expats and tourists. Nice atmosphere, delicious food, many options (maybe too many). Be there before 6pm! - Hildegunn Nilssen
Scenic & popular spot for locals & travellers. Area comes alive during evening where abundant activities start. Catch the famous water puppet show & enjoy Cafe Giang’s egg coffee ☕️ nearby. - Jaclyn
So much better and cheaper than other egg coffee in town! Must try in Hanoi. - Jaydan Wong
Great location almost in between the traffic. Lovely coconut coffee smoothie and delicious coffee with yoghurt (says an espresso lover)!! - Marilien K.
