Nice place for families. Parking area away from the beach but with easy access to the beach . Entrance fee is $8. They have two chairs and umbrella set out by the water. They rent for $30.

Parking is $8.00 and you can't leave and come back without paying again. Make sure you have everything you need before parking .

Not crowded at all--but we came on a Wednesday. We also rented chairs and umbrella for $30. I thought it was worth it not to have to hassle with lugging it all in.

I've been coming to Galveston for many years. This was my first visit to Stewart beach. Worth it for the changing rooms.

Feeding the Seagulls is always fun. ... start by throwing bits up to get a gathering. .. then hold a cracker in your hand and they'll snatch it!

The traffic in and out of Galveston in the evening, on a friday is disturbing. May I suggest, and especially if you have an SUV, a full tank of petrol.

You can't take canopies or tents...so don't try...just rent their chairs and umbrella 's or go down the strand to the free beach .
