Amusements as well as the historical element of the Pier will bring back memories of what the destination was known for in the late 1940s. The Sea Dragon ride gives you a great view of the island ! Read more
Pleasure Pier is a great addition to the island . It can be kind of expensive though. After eating lunch , paying for rides and games and snacks and drinks throughout the day, I spend close to $100.
Getting there an hour before sunset was the best idea. Not as hot & the lights are spectacular. Make sure to book your Bubba Gump reservation well in advance though. We were told it was a 2 hr wait!
You have to pay to get in no matter what, but if you get the day pass for rides, it is totally worth it. I spent all day there with my dad and 4-year-old sister and never ran out of things to do.
The pier is an amusement park so you pay admission even if you don't ride just like other amusement parks . However they do offer a discounted price of $10 if you don't want to ride.
Come early to avoid the lines & heat. Free shuttle from San Luis Resort saves on parking fees for guests. Also ask hotel for VIP card to avoid line for tickets.
Super fun. Would come back when it wasn't Spring Break or a holiday. Big downfall is there isn't a lot of places to sit and rest or people watch .
A lot of fun - our company rented the place out just for us! and there were tall boy Pabst Blue ribbon Beers !
Beautiful views , great fun for the whole family. Go during the week & get the day pass so the kids can ride the rides all day. Worth the money.
If you want to ride it's decent. I don't like that I have to spend $10 just to walk on with my kids. I don't ride.
Great times. If you go make sure you have a bit of money because nothing is cheap there. Right down to admission. Lots of stuff to do
So awesome. Rides, food, games are so much fun. Price is very reasonable.
So much fun. Go during the night it's beautiful and not too hot. Pretty pricy though.
I agree with $10 to enter because if it was free then everybody would be complaining that wait for rides is too long. Also the restaurant across the street will validate parking for first 3 hours.
$10 just to walk around the pier/$22 to ride 1/2 the rides cuz the other 1/2 aren't open yet. Go to Kemah. You can walk around for free.
The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier is located at 25th and Seawall Boulevard, on the pier that formerly featured The Flagship Hotel .
TheGakaxy wheel was pleasant but they wouldn't allow me to ride solo. The swing set ride was fun.
Had a blast! Swings are a must and log ride.
Iron Shark , Pirates Plunge, and Sea Dragon are all great!
Look for the games that state winner every time. This place is wonderful at night.
It costs to gain access to the pier .
Give military discount . Lots of fun and beautiful at night. Pricy .
If you're lucky you might get to see dolphins while riding the Texas Star Flyer!(:
Almost ready to open! Employee's families are testing things today. Photo view is from closest hotel : Four Points by Sheraton.
New price..$10 to walk on and now $26.99 to ride plus don't forget parking costs.
Security stopped my son from entering the pier because he had a freezee sold across the street by same co that owns pier - So we boycotted.
Way overpriced. Go North to Austin and go to Six Flags instead. It's only $44.99 if you buy your tickets online and you get tons of rides and games . Not $26.99 for 10 rides and 5 games.
There are no shops or restaurants on the pier other than the gift shop and Bubba Gump . Admission isn't required to get to either.
Ride the Iron Shark , it's so much fun!!
To go over the pier - 10$ per person. For us not worth it
Most overpriced pace on planet Earth!!! $5 per ride???!?! That's outrageous! $10 just to get in and then $5 per ride, so you do the math... Packed is a understatement! Not worth it at all!
best amusement park ever
#MoneyTrap Not worth it especially if you've been to Ocean City , MD/Seaside, NJ etc ... $10 to just walk on pier + parking ... then add games, rides & food? Rip off. Tiny place.
Get here EARLY!!! Parking is scarce!!!
Beautiful place, but they charge $10 just for walking the pier . I think thst is too much, a few dollars would be OK
The toy cop at the front is a super Dbag !
Winter special. Walk on for only $5!!!
Fun tons of fun
Nice way to pass the time.
Closed rides are listed at the ticket windows.
Check the temperature lol
Feel the same as everyone else...it sucks you have to pay $10 just to walk on the pier ! Lame
The real party is underneath the pier !!!
Little pricey ????
I got your tip....
Complete waste of money. Horrible you have to pay $10 per person in advance to find out over 1/2 the rides aren't open. and that's $10 just to stand around $22 to ride the rides!
It is ok, but why you have to pay $10 just to go inside????
Bring lots of money..... Everything is too expensive !
I got your tip....boomtastic
You have to pay $10 per person just to walk around. Lame. Guess we'll just look at it from the beach .
Charged full price when rides and concessions were not open ???? ???? disappointed - Tammi Kemp
Ride it at night, it's so beautiful seeing the sea at night from the top - Matthew T Rader
no hands!!!!!! - Jack Ball
Definitely a family spot! Kids are running everywhere! Prices are okay--but be prepared if you have several kiddos! - Marchell Mascheck
It is a little cheesy, but I thought it was worth it. Little kids will like it, and $6 is not too bad of a price. - Wesley Jobes
Check out the concessions to get some dipping dots. Then on to the ride film! Oh, don't forget the discovery museum pyramid!! - Didi Sharp
The Lava Flow is DELICIOUS!!! A must try! Service was fairly quick and a great atmosphere at night. Definitely try the dessert sampler, worth it! - Alyssa Broyles
Coconut shrimp, avocado dip are awesome. Excellent service upstairs with Crystal. Awesome ice cream! - Lindsey P.
This is THE BEST gift shop in Galveston. Great selection - well laid out - easy to shop - everything you want in a gift shop. Their prices are not cheap, but they have really good quality stuff. - Rodger Dodger
