Got the tasting menu with drink pairing. The flavors in the menu were great, and it was the right amount of food. The pairing included beer , some funky interesting wines , and liquor to close it off
The restaurant is always changing. The previous "La Barra ", was an incredible concept, now we have to adapt to their new idea. Ask for the cochinillo , never order the "arroz con pato" larutagastro.com
Chef Gastón Acurio 's 29-course tasting menu may include early harvest potatoes from the Andes and hairy crab with yellow chili pepper . Not that hungry? Grab a table in the informal La Barra tavern.
Seat at the bar , watch the kitchen, don't eat all the (delicious) bread if you want to try the rest! I recommend the scallops and the falafel .
We had the tiradito, cuy pekinés, pasta de erizo and mero with black pasta . It was all delicious! The cacao route is unbelievable as well
Great food. Needs to work on service skills and noise in the dinning rooms are loud . Needs to be attended by a professional sound engineer . Given the quality of the place and prices they can get one.
Good food, horrible service with inexperienced and arrogant staff
Everything was so good, the piscos , the entree with tomatoes , causa, ceviches to die for and for dessert the trio of chocolates
Great cocktails , beautiful venue and really nice staff . It was a busy night and Kitchen was far too slow, we had to cancel our main courses. Otherwise, definitely worth a visit!
The food is incredible. Tasting menu is a dream. Service was stiff and cold, apart from one waiter (Miguel). Take the wine pairing : on the point ! Expensive !
Spent NYE at Astrid and Gaston. The staff is friendly , food is tasty as always at Gaston's restaurants , yet this is not my fav among the other ones I have tried.
Chef Muñoz is one of the best of the world, try also to sit at the bar to watch how they do it! Great stuff!
The tasting menu has amazingly 30 steps. It's a very nice experience! Te fish with kiwicha was outstanding. Wines that pairs with the dishes could have been better.
It works like that: you order one dish and that same dish comes in a large portion so everybody in the table can eat it. In a group of 8 people,we ordered 4 dishes, but 3 would be fine. Great ambiance
Peking cuy was quite good. My fave were the desserts though: cocoa journey and the fig baklava was absolutely divine.
One of the best restaurants I've ever been. Excellent food and service! We had the classic 5 course tasting menu and it was fantastic!
Incredible tasting menu (do the wine taster menu as well ). Fantastic service. Really enjoyable evening. Expensive by Peruvian standards but well worth the cost.
We made our reservation 4 months ago for this restaurant . Honestly,it is over rated. The food was good but not for its reputation, which considered to be one of the top 50 restaurants in the world.
The fig baklava was a pleasant surprise. The mascarpone cuts the sweetness and the nuts add some texture.
Odd as this sounds, take a trip to the toilets for a brief tour of the magnificent building and an experience in the circle chamber. The food was amazing, too! ????
Astrid & Gaston was placed 14th in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants . Its bar – all black boards, marble and smiling faces – is what greets you. Our voters are fans.
Tasting menu , service, and pisco drinks were good. Jorge gave us an excellent service!!
Signature restaurant of Gaston Acurio , Peru's most famous celebrity chef . Dan and I went and had a fantastic experience. Pre fixe. Fancy .
Great service from the staff , food is delicious and they have an extensive wine menu .. must try when in Peru
The fried octopus was ????. One of the best things I've eaten in Lima. Go with a group as everything is designed to be shared.
Beautiful courtyard setting, great staff , and tasty wonderful food.
You pay for the experience, the waiter explain every dish in detail and the food is great. A place to visit. Expensive
Fine dining in a very hip atmosphere . Gives a very upscale spin on excellent Peruvian cuisine
Loved the ceviche , hated the service. We ordered food wthout pimiento and after being twice assured that it was possible to be done, we got the food with pimientos . The manager doubted us and argued.
Had the tasting menu - guinea pig , sea urchin , nikkei beef , variety of fish . Was very good!
We had a splendid evening. BUT: If you're eating on Michelin star level from time to time it's hard to sign up for the hype. The tasting menu was good but not outstanding.
Horrible menu, not fitting, no storytelling neither any clue of perspective of the chef . Very disappointed. Would recommend you to only drink a Pisco Sour and leave for another restaurant .
Reservations required. Great ambience, food and service.
Try the tiradito!
Diego Muñoz and Gastón Acurio , Peruvian meets haute cuisine , Toasted pig jowl, sacha culantro (jungle cilantro ).
It's a lot of food for tasting menu . Come hungry.
Grilled Octopus w/ Adobo Creamy Potatoes , Pseudocereals Salad , Chía Solterito.
The Viru tasting menu is the best in South America. Absolutely delightful.
Get the tasting menu , food tells a story http://www.theworlds50best.com/TheList-2016/21-30/Astrid-y-Gaston.html
Great ambience - good for special occasion . Somewhat more pricey than other places with similar quality.
Terrible service, but nice food. Desserts are the best part, no doubt!
Exquisite experience! Totally recommend it.
Save space for your pick from Astrid’s magic box of sweets!
When in doubt, try the tasting menu .
Ask for help finding the bathroom ! Its not an easy find!
wonderful peruvian food , astonishing cocktails
Wonderful food! Just attention for beverages are so expensive
Sample the extensive chilcano selection. They're excellent.
The best fusion restaurant in Lima, Peru!
Almejas ! Very good taste
GREAT place to sit outside next to the ruins, very beautiful. The food is good, the Pisco Sours are awesome. I highly recommend this place for the unique ambience & something delightfully different. - Brad Hager
I'm speechless after having the 11 course tasting menu. The octopus and the quinoa beef were my favorites. Don't forget to get piscos at the bar before your meal ;) - sesim
Great atmosphere and great food but it gets noisy by crowd and you gotta reserve ahead - Mehmet Bayburt
Beautiful olive tree park with nice small lake and full of birds where you can enjoy their singing all day. - Majed Alashari
Very nice place to walk around, people watch, shop, eat and drink. Good food choices, great views. Very trendy. - Brad Hager
Excelentes piqueos y cócteles / good cocktail and light Peruvian food. - Agustin Figari
