Slightly costlier than standard. Loved the fried oysters and Curry Mee . Good Lor Bak, Rojak and Wantan Mee as well . Didn't like the grilled fish much. Ice Kacang was a lot of ice!
Everything is overpriced here. Paid rm 7 for a char Kuew Teow, small portion. Some food tasted good but others didn't. I would recommend going to other places to eat as it's a tourist area.
Really good muar chee! 73 Assam laksa is awesome! Long await rojak is okay only.. Lok lol is only RM 1 for any stick :D
Great place to enjoy some Penang food at a low price. Try the satay as well as the claypot chicken rice ! The apom (Penang pancakes ) are excellent for dessert !
Varieties of local Penang food are available. Just be careful when you want to buy the Passembur. It can costs you up to MYR80/plate! Nonetheless, the food is awesome!
Tried the Char Keow Teow at stall 47, it is pork free. At the other end of the alley you will find all the halal stalls !
Only managed 2try out 2 hawker stalls b4 it started pouring. We had Assam Laksa & Fried Oysters w/Eggs.Both were utterly disappointing.Yrs ago, this used 2b d place 2come.Not anymore according 2my aunt.
Most authentic Malaysian street food I have had in Penang. Great if you like Rojak , sotong Bakar, nasi lemak
..'tasted the dishes that sold here and my opinion and taste buds..overrated as well overprice!..lotsa nice place 'round penang rather than caught up in a massive traffic jam just to dine here'!..
Stall 96... Should have a try of Hokkien prawn mee . Really nice. And please do not sit in front Stall 58. You might get scold.
DO NOT DONATE to those who approach you with a donation card for Children of Asia fund . They are scammers who will use the money to buy clothes and meals for themselves
Friendly drink lady
Nice Hokkien me at stall no.65! Recommended by the retail staff from Gurney Mall . Pls Choose those stalls that more retail staffs going 1...trust them
I think it's just me that picked up the wrong food. Cause my mee udang & char kuey teow was a lil dissapointing. But other foods that i ordered was goooood. Also! there's a lot of food choices!
Go to other hawker centres if you wish to try authentic delicious penang hawker fare. This place is just touristy .
Possible the most popular hawker center welcomed by locals & tourist
Go for pasembur menari stall number 9.. delicious gravy
Assam laksa ? Go to stall 11 . Really nice . A little bit on the sweeter side though .
Pasembor, sotong kangkung is out of this world. So good! Asam laksa too. Satay too! Halal.
The people here just selling the name compare with kl is are big difference and if at kl the taste like this sure already bankrap lo....😅😅😅
Fried chicken skin is e bomb!! No.54 asam laksa is the best & always since then.
The most famous street food in Penang. You can find halal and nonhalal food here. Special malaysian hawker.
Should give a try on the famous char koay teow stall no.71. Might have to queue lil long sometime but worth for the good taste :)
Love those chinese hawker stall ! Plenty of food!
Stall 71 Chow Koay Teow worth the long queue and it is RM6 only !
Variety of food available. A "must-visit" place in Penang, but the quality of food is not like those days. P/s: Its really challenging to find a parking spot in here.
Things are getting more expensive with sub-standard quality. Hawkers can't cope with high demand especially during holidays. A nightmare for people who are driving. Parking is a huge problem.
Splendid Ambra; its a drink actually. Mixture of Kedondong and Asam Boi. A must try. Worth it.
Curry mee is good. The one right beside nasi lemak
Laksa from Penang Famous Laksa was not good, Kerang char kueh tiaw from Saad was ok, and Pasembor from kedai 2stall from Saad was so-so. Honestly was very disappointed. Sb takde apa yg special. Sedih
The best and famous Laksa in town ! :-):-):-)
Penangites won't even come to this place. This place is only meant to trick tourists from other states and countries . Super overpriced food with average quality. A disgrace to Penang's tastier stuff.
Best fry oyster is behind Muah gee, next to satay stall but the lady cook is better than the man cook :p I know is difficult you ll be serve by either one of them!?
A place to chill with groups actually. Stall 71 char koay teow noodles tasteless, prawns too salty haha. But the lady rmbr me & kept a plate for me hehe.
Try Nasi Lemak Cilibis..in the corner of Halal Section..worth to try.. ;)
The food here, the price is slightly more expensive cos it’s a tourist spot... but it’s good .. do come here if you don’t mind spending your money... if not, go somewhere else ..I’m a Penangite,
Generally all food is good here. And cheap .

Yummy yummy fried oyster , Asam Laksa , Apom Manis, Char Koay Teow and Soya Bean :D
The best pasembur/rojak penang..nk mkn kena que panjang woooo..
Those who are looking for the halal/malay part of gurney drive, head towards the stalls nearby McD building, or find a stall named shariff muslim pasembur .
Nasi lemak & the people here is so nice. Thumbs up!
Lots and lots of foods. Very crowded . But worth it.
