One of the prettiest views of robin island and Cape Town. Be prepared to stand in a long line to go up and come back down. There is a hiking trail , be warned it can take you up to 2-4 hours to climb.

Fantastic tourist attraction with many visitors using the cableway or you can hike up to the top if you feel fit & strong.
Amazing place to visit specially when the weather is not cloudy. Go early and enjoy of the spectacular views in peace . Sightseeing bus (Red line ) takes you easily to the lower cable station.
Check to see if the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway is offering their half-price sunset special in the summertime. If you're South African, it's also free on your birthday.
Do always wear a wind breaker and walking shoes for the hiking trails on the top. And if you go for a coffee , first pay and get a warning coffee pad when your order is ready for take off.
The most incredible view of the city . Do not forget to bring your camera ! In case of wind alarm return to the safe base. Book visit in anticipation. Arrive early due to very long queue under sun.
Great touristic , natural and scenic place . Easy to drive up; then cable car to the top. Must be visited. View is amazingly beautiful.

Hike up Plattekloof Gorge starting at the lower cableway. It's an inbelievably rewarding hike . No need to be super fit but it is challenging! The view from the top is out of this world!
We saw some antelopes and ostriches which was a great sight. We were told by our guide that there are also some zebras the are sometimes seen in the park , although not so commonly.
Enjoy a hike to the top of Table Mountain or take the cable car . Don’t hike on your own & don’t hike with valuables.
Spectacular view of the city and an absolute must-see for tourists . Wear sunblock and order tickets in advance to avoid the line .

Mountain is fantastic. Everyone is so friendly ! Except the buffet staff that laughed at me when I asked for vegetarian pizza . Very lame and rude of them.
Hiking up is rough no matter the path. Plan for 3 hours, that includes time to sit. Climbing up is also fulfilling and a beautiful adventure.
An absolute must do in Cape Town. Get up there, escape the touristy hiking trails and enjoy the magnificent view !

Absolutely must visit this place. Be warned that the cable car will stop operating of it's too windy.
Fantastic place!! Great for those who enjoy hiking . The 5 days long Hoerikwaggo Trail is one of my favorite trails . Quite challenging if you're not in shape!
If you follow the footprints along the stones, it will take you the whole way around table mountain . You'll get good views , but it's a LONG walk and pretty dangerous at some locations.
Taking the cable car ? Make sure to book a place before heading back, else you'll end up standing in a line .

Make sure to check the weather and the wind,if you are lucky enough then you can take the cable car to the top of the table mountain :)
You can buy your tickets in advance online and go the first day it's clear out! Nice walks at the top, allot some time.
If you have to do one only thing in Cape Town, you should be doing this first. Ensure you get to the top early in the morning: better chance to queue shortly
If you’ve not been to Table Mountain , you’ve not been to Cape Town. Take care, this is a real mountain (with weather, rocks and sheer drops)
If you're looking for something scenic and challenging, take the Contour Path from Newlands Forest and work your way up to Platteklip Gorge .

This is place is dop dread beautiful! Take the hiking route or the cable car if you're feeling lazy. The view is stunning

Insane views . Cloudy days can be very cold in the top, but do not skip this one, it's just amazing.
If you have a couple of days free, try walking the 80km Hoerikwaggo hiking trail .
