Boulders Beach Penguin Colony is a nature preserve Simon's Town Cape Town located in South Africa.
1 Kleintuin Rd Cape Town South Africa
Want to see the penguins for free? Walk past the main entrance on the wooded boardwalk & keep on going. You'll get to a rocky area where they like to hang (but the beach is worth the $$!!)
Lots more penguins down the boardwalk than the beach . Watched penguins jumping into the sea, making nests and looking after their chicks - amazing and what a bargain at 70r.
Take the boardwalk to the right of the first ticket office to walk with penguins , at the end of that beach you can climb over the rocks to get closer to the little fellows and avoid the crowd.
If penguins are your goal, no need to pay money to access the beach . Instead, take the boardwalk to the right and you'll find plenty of penguins . Some even come right up to the boardwalk.
A must see attraction in Cape Town. Check high tide times as the lie can be very little space on the beach when it's high tide. You have to pay to get in but the price is worth it
Altough it’s an amazing place to watch pinguïns , it can get crowded with tourists . If you have time, drive over to Betty’s Bay on the other side of False Bay . Same pinguïns but whitout the tourists !
Very good experience if you want to see penguins . Will require some driving or a tour bus . There is an admission fee. Visit on your way back from Kalk Bay or Cape of Good Hope.
When you enter the visitor's centre, take the viewing point on the right - there'll be less tourists .
Gone are the days when you could sit and the penguins would walk round you however this is great way to see them in their natural habitat.
I would have signs saying 'be quiet '... some penguins looked terrified for god's sake. It's a beautiful peaceful spot , no one should be allowed to bother them this much!
Both the penguins and the view were awesome! A must-see for Cape Town visitors.
Take you ID if you an SA resident to pay the lowest entry fee. If you’re a foreigner prepare to be fleeced. The penguins are cute but you might see some for free on Seaforth beach .
I never thought I could love penguins that much more. Seeing them live in action here is definitely a must do
Just beautiful. Remember penguins arrived this beach just 25 years ago. Amazing.
Definitely worth the 60 rand entry fee. There's a secondary viewing platform down a narrow path that's easy to miss, keep an eye out for it
How the penguins endure the tour bus groups I don't know. They've got more patience than i have!
Amazingly beautiful beach with super cute small creatures..
Much more expensive than it used to be. You’ll see more penguins outside of the paid area, but I would pay if you’d like to be on the beach or in the water.
Best spot to see the penguins is to get down on the beach quickly.
It's a tiny beach slice with tons of penguins at the same place but still interesting to see. We chose to visit the park over going to the beach because there were no penguins . Too crowded .
Getting to see penguins at their own wildlife is just so stunning!
Nice place to see the penguins , and enjoy in the beach
Was fun to see different penguin species , although was short viewing .
Besides being one of Cape Town's most visited beaches , Boulders is home to a colony of African penguins .
Penguins are so cute . Be respectful, because this place deserves well .
Nice penguin ???? colony!

One of the most attractive places to visit in Cape Town ????????

Heaps of penguins , street vendors in the square have better prices than shops
Don't miss the opportunity to see these little guys before you leave Cape Town
It would s nice to be so close to the Penguins but avoid going there in a windy day.

Amazing view for tourist , light house on top of mountain and rocky beaches that separates two great oceans from each other . Don't miss ostrich farm next to it . - Rami Tamimi
Beautiful place! The view of the mountains and the ocean is amazing! DO NOT pay for a tour. Take a rental car yourself and explore. Recommended spot for drone flying and exploring. Beware of baboons. - Yuri Ramocan
Incredible view. Worth an extended walk if you have the energy. Hike to the Cape of Good Hope - stunning - Dean K
Portions are huge! Best battered fish I’ve had in a long time. Well worth a visit. - Sam Thornton
