‘Depot’ is a frantic and fast paced eatery, serving unpretentious food on plates to share. There’s a raw bar, where oysters and fresh shellfish will be shucked to order. The main kitchen (open) will feature a large charcoal grill and a hard wood oven. The food is fresh and all about sharing.

Excellent food but not very friendly service .
Order Mahurangi Oysters , Snapper Sliders , Bone Marrow , Lamb Ribs and Tuatua Clams ! All fresh and yummy! They have wine on tap , not bad. Love the atmosphere there. Better reserve a table, it's packed!
We left our order to our waitress and she nailed every single order. Clams and oysters well shucked. The craydog gave me mouthfuls of orgasmic pleasure. Great beer list too!
It's worth getting a little adventurous - stranger dishes (like popcorn duck tongues ) are a surprising delight (as is everything). Excellent show case of pacific rim cooking and NZ produce.
Squid in linguini with clams and chorizo ! If you like seafood you won't regret this pick, but really can't go wrong at deposit with any of the items on their menu!
Depot never disappoints! Super friendly staff , lively atmosphere , decent prices for the quality of food on offer - what's not to love? Must try: Hapuka sliders , Fergus’ bone marrow & Brussels sprouts .
Omg! I've fall in love with this place. Oysters are big , delicious and not expensive and the service is great. You should spend your Friday night at here , order oysters and drink wine .
Al Brown’s temple to dude food is the buzziest spot in town . Inside, it’s all about the seasonal small plates : lamb with mini Yorkshire puddings and snapper sliders with a killer lemon mayo .
Super hip and super delish. Long waits so go early. Right next to the Skytower. This photo is of the Turbot slider . Wow. So nom!
Bone marrow was fab, but the charred broccoli w/labneh date and almond was better and the halibut sliders were worth traveling from U.K. for. Thank you!
Perfect for sharing with friends some tasty bites. Local brew called Moa went well with the fish sliders and beef tacos . Skate wings were a bit too heavy but the squid and clams linguini was yum.
Chatcuterie is wonderful. The ceviche has a wasabi-flavoured sauce which may not appeal to everyone. Brussel sprouts are on the salty side. Oysters are fresh.
This place has to be one of the Top 5 places to eat in Auckland. Quality in every dish and very knowledgeable bartenders . Start with oysters and ask about the fish of the day.
Go in early, but have a little snack you may be waiting a while for a seat. But you won't be disappointed bone marrow was amazing and the nz meat platter was delish
Wow! A gastronomic orgasm! The turbot sliders and the bone marrow were out of this world! The staff are super knowledgeable and very friendly . I would go back there in a heartbeat!
Great value ! Bone marrow was great! Ribs very good too! Skip the sliders .
I have been here 2 times now. I have to admit it is the best restaurant I have been to in NZ. You cant really go wring with anything in the menu. By do Not miss the chipotle corncobs.
Waited for approximate 1.5 hours for a table but it was all worth it. Oysters were extremely fresh and sweet, squid ink linguine , snappers sliders were highly recommended too.
We had fig toasties , which were a whirlwind of delicious flavors, beef brisket tortillas , soft and juicy, and grilled kumara, which I couldn't get enough of.
Ask for the Tortilla and Brisket with chipotle, those are delicious, just make sure they don't use any sour cream on it!
The chef will kindly work with solo diners to get half portions of dishes so you can try more! It was an excellent meal and experience.
All good seafood . Make sure you order many oysters otherwise you will end up ordering more and more:)
Fantastic food and brilliant service - M highly recommended the freshly shucked Mussels and the tap Pinot noir is very quaffable - perhaps not to be had together though.
The cauliflower was the best I've ever had.
Delicious food. No bookings taken. Get there early and join the queue. You can leave your name and will be called when a table becomes available.
Gorgeous place with loads of atmosphere! Delicious food, especially the snapper sliders ! All round awesome place, would definitely return.????
Tasty seafood , oysters and little sharing plates. A great wine and beer list with a friendly informal atmosphere. Delicious!!!
Amazing food, great location and very friendly staff ! And the prices very reasonable! A must-try when in Auckland!!
Sliders and lamb rips are fantastic! Try the chocolate cookie in a skillet !
It's not bad but it's not the big deal either. Satisfy cravings but the portions that give you barely fill. I recommend it to go for snkas and a beer with friends
I love the quirky design, amazing food (everything is so good its hard to pick a fav!) and great service! Will definitely be back!
Incredible food. The sprouts, sliders , octopus and beef cheeks all amazing. Definitely coming back here again ????????????
Al Brown’s first venture into the Auckland restaurant scene is a terrific combination of international flavours, locally-sourced produce and seafood , and a laidback but cosmopolitan vibe. Read more
It can take a while to get in, but it is will worth the wait. A must have is the fish sliders .
Best service, amazing food. Love the grilled mussels and the meat board was pretty good. Lovely Moa cider on tap ! :D
Hands down best casual dining spot in Auckland. Raw bar and sliders are a must, also the craydog!
Oysters and grilled octopus are recommended here! Nice place for a flat white as well !
Excellent food! Try sliders - tiny burgers with fish and lemon mayo . We also loved potato skins + very good cider brought in a small jug.
Lamb ribs and the charcuterie board are great
Can't miss having an oyster or 2, favourites are tio point oysters with shallot vinegarette
Might be the best place in Auckland to eat! Nice atmosphere, good service and amazing food.
Didn't have snapper in the tortilla here but some other fish and still good. Sliders are also good. Oysters are good but expensive . Couldn't tell the difference between the three. Excellent service
The mussels were amazing: must try. Really cool to sit at the bar and just watch that busy place.
The brisket is awesome and the menu gets updated which is great. Service spot on, attentive, but not intrusive.
Highly recommended! Wonderful atmosphere. Food to pick - sliders , lamb meats
Al Brown's latest venture: an eatery focusing on fab local produce . So far, I've only been for dessert . Try the sugar pie , it's great! Will definitely be back for a meal.
Oysters , turbot sliders , potato skins , and crispy pork hock . And then more potato skins .
Squid ink linguini with clams , potato skins , Kumara chips , skirt steak ... Errrthang!
The steak here is very good, perfectly seasoned and cooked well
A favourite here is the fish belly with eggplant kasundi, plenty for 2
Great coffee, and wine list. Intimate atmosphere with a refreshing take on cuisine that's just a little bit different. Try the wagyu brisket and/or the crumpet with burnt butter and honey, amazing! - Emma Bailey
Central location. Vegan friendly menu. Cool atmosphere. Friendly service. Good for groups. Opens early and has quite a few healthy breakfast options. - Nikhita Khanduri
Try the pork buns yum! All the small appetite options are great - Gina Bunton
Good views. Come in the evening and you can enjoy both day and night view - Leon Oe
