The pool & beach are lovely; the hotel staff is super nice & accommodating. The activities offered and spa are great. The food service staff could use training in proper dining & service etiquette.
Hidden secret: the food is ok here, but If you walk onto the beach , make a left and walk 30 min you'll end up at Lola 's which has the best food we've had in Costa Rica and a view that matches it.
Buffet is mostly delicious; desserts were lackluster. "Romantic dinner " is worth every penny. Room service is actually cheaper than the restaurants . Go to Lolas down the beach ! Delicious and beautiful
3 things you must do 1. Spend the afternoon at Hacienda Pinilla beach club (walk 5 mins left on the beach ) 2. Lunch and drinks at Lolas (25min walk left on beach ) 3. Dinner at Pangas in Tamarindo
Amazing pool, food is typical Marriott quality-which is good- and they always ask if one has food allergies, great for those who do. They would do well with a dinner sized salad , however, none exists
They have a business center that prints color pages and an incredible infinity pool . The food in any of the restaurants are a hit. Excellent customer service and stupefying view . Highly recommend.
Walk 30 beautiful minutes up the beach (to the left) for amazing food and cocktails in a wonderful atmosphere. We love marriott but it can't measure up to Lola 's, not far away!
Staff and accommodations were great! Food at Mansita was good for dinner but everything else was ok. The pool was fantastic and the views were awesome
The restaurant service sucks, seriously! Look at the other tips for better places to eat than in the resort . Everything else has been great! Huge infinity pool , right on the beach , great rooms.
Buffet for dinner is pretty bad. If you have a car, go to Villa Deevena in Playa Negra. Delicious French food by a delightful family in a beautiful setting.
There's a town that's 20 minutes from here called Tamarindo . It's very cool and very touristy . If you want street food , look for cars, that's where they sell homemade meals for $5!
A beautiful hotel with an access to a wonderful beach . To go to a restaurant , better make a reservation .
Service is awesome so as the viwes, good good also.

Lovely view and pool. Rooms are excellent.
Absolutely beautiful, spectacular. I love this place.
Absolutely amazing massages , worth every penny!
Don't miss the pool. It's the largest in Central America
Rent a car and explore the area beaches
I am just speachless!!!
What a view
Keep the screen down on your balcony to avoid bugs
????????????????????????????
Bello lugar, tranquilo , seguro y relajado .
Piscina más grande de Centro América ????
Un buen lugar para pasarla bien
Excelente comida en el tamarin ????
La piscina es la mas grande de centroamerica!!!
For Breakfast: The buffet is a better choice over ordering from the menu, but I do suggest getting there early since it’s the only breakfast option in the hotel, so the line to get a table gets long - Lauren Varga
Love this place, very cosy and peaceful) try hotel restaurant Matapalo near the beach, little bit expensive, but jumbo shrimps in coconut sauce is too good) - Anna Johansen
