I love the zoo . Yes, it is small, but not everywhere you go has a zoo . I think it is so cool to have it here in Decatur. I love being able to go and watch the animals and relax for awhile.

The outdoor playground , carousel and train ride are always a favorite for the kids.

The penguin exhibit is a must see! There's a pop up some for the kids for a closer look.

The petting zoo was very fun. Not that much to see but a nice little trip away from Springfield. Train ride and carousel .

When at the zoo , make sure to ride on the train , it is a different view of the zoo you won't get any other way.

The membership is extremely well priced and a family can make back the cost in under a month.

don't waste your money on the train ... it only does a figure 8 around ONE SIDE of the zoo ! it doesn't even do a full lap around the complex...
