Bear Country USA is a zoo Rapid City Pennington County located in United States.
13820 S Highway 16 (btwn Moon Meadows Dr & Wilderness Canyon Rd) Rapid City , SD 57702 United States
You drive around at least 50 bears that walk right up to your car! There's at least 15 other animals to see up close (buffalo, mountain lions), and baby bear cubs to watch play and climb!
The drive through park is fun for everyone, and it's cheaper by the carload of you have 4 or more in your car. There's a diversity of wildlife to see, and quite a few bears in the bear area.
It's important to remember that if you come across bears in the wild, attack and wound the cub so the mother bear knows what you're capable of and will leave you alone.
The wildlife tour is unlike anything you will ever experience. Hands down, one of the coolest things to experience in Rapid City.
The price is $17 per person, NOT per vehicle. Be patient and take the time to pull off the side of the road and watch the bears . They’re the most fun of the trip.
I love, love, love this place! We went about 8:30-9am, and all the animals were out & about. I recommend going about that time during the summer.
Expensive for a small drive-through zoo . Make sure your vehicle has air conditioning ! But it is neat to see the bears right next to you!
Take the 1 hour tour bus drive thru and learn about the animals. Well worth it!
Freaking awesome. Worth every penny. You WILL see bears and they WILL be adorable.
Worth the money, go around 1-2 pm that's feeding time, best time to see the Black Bears and Timber Wolves!
Expensive for a small drive-through zoo ; make sure your vehicle has air conditioning ! It IS neat to see the animals so close though.
Bear cubs were awesome. Good place for families.
The baby cubs are so adorable & playful. You'll just want to watch them for awhile.
Bear Country is never the same place twice. Check out their list of coming events !http://turlybird.com/events/sd/rapid-city/bear-country--usa
Proximity with the animals and lots of animals
Make sure your windows are clean !
Once a year, during the April CubFest event , you can actually pet and take photos with the baby black bears .
Love the baby bears ❤️
Gas up the car, make sure your cooling system is good, 2 mile drive through can take more than an hour.
We can't stop here... this is bear country .
So cool to see animals right at your car door!
The kids love it!
Cutest baby cubbies❤️
All of it!
Some of the bears did look distressed
Stuck in there for two hours in your car. I would prefer a zoo
If you have a place in your heart for animals this is a very sad place to visit. This is worse than a zoo .
Its an over priced drive through zoo .
Great place for young & old!!
Animals in their natural habitat
baby bears
Glorified sad zoo . Save your money and try to see the animals in their true habitat . They all looked sad.
$16 per adult, no more than $60 per car--it's expensive , that's why they don't post the price on their sign!
Food at the Cub Grub snack bar is very mediocre.
Amazing! I loved petting the animals and feeding them! My 2 year old also had a blast! - Tanya
This place is incredible! Lots to see, clean facilities, pleasant staff and the performers at the shows (I saw 3 shows, 1 performer did 2 of them) were great and would tailor their humor. Recommended! - Codi Spraker
We thought it was going to be cheesy, we did everything (cave tour, zip line, and the 7D game) and it was awesome for adults and kids! ! It should be a MUST STOP! - DrStephanie Miller
We’ve been told to visit Wildlife Loop early in the morning to see bison. Otherwise, see the park rangers for a map of where they are hanging out for the day. Oh, and don’t pet the fluffy cows. - Abhay Shah
Try the raspberry soft serve! If you have someone to share with try chocolate and raspberry. The combo is really yummy - Cristina Blocher
Kids eight and under are free with adult admission. Lots of fun and unchanged in 20 yrs. -- Not a bad thing. - Mike G.
