This is a "must do" in Madeira ! Take a cable car to the top of Monte (9 euro but totally worth it!) Then, ride a wicker sled two miles downhill back down to Funchal. You will never forget it!

Very expensive for a 5 minute ride (not 10 as they say), but it IS a traditional thing to do in Funchal, so I'll leave it at your consideration. To go down to Funchal you can take the bus (1,95€).

Lots of fun! Get there early as it can get very busy. Be warned, when you’ve finished your ride it’s a 40 minute walk downhill back to Funchal harbour .

A must do for all tourists .. fun for the whole family.

Take the bus down. Only 1,95 € and don't let the taxi drivers talk you in a more expensive taxi .

Not for the faint of heart and quite expensive . Anyway, in my opinion a must when you come to Madeira .

Experiência poderia ser interessante se não fosse tão aproveitada para lucrar com os turistas. Caro , velocidade nunca chega a ser "alucinante". Armadilha para turistas em que caí de forma consciente.
