Ban Lee Siang Sate Celup

One of the oldest and most original satay celup restaurant. Compared to lok lok which is dipping raw foods into hot water, this is dipping into hot peanut sauce. All the foods were stored in refrigerator to preserve the freshness.

One of the best Satay Celup in Melaka. Personally I prefer this over Capitol Satay Celup , since it tastes nicer and has a wider variety of stuff to choose from. Worth the wait!

Monica Kong

Satay celop is super tasty. Especially with char kuey, foo chok. Peanut sauce goes well with the bread and cucumber . Wash down with cooling herbal tea . Never fail to eat here whenever in Melaka.

Ee Leen

We are acknowledge that the two shop side by side is separated due to conflict betweens siblings. Price has been increase from RM0.50 to RM1 since 5 years ago.

Giri Dev Nair

Can be busy, but possible to find tables. Variety of meats/vegies on skewers to be dipped in boiling pot of satay sauce . Recommended.

Kien kok Goh

fire got switched off when I just placed a handful of new satay into the pot, and later covered it without even asking if I'm done. don't think this new branch is serious about doing business

Dash Lye

Nice satay soup , less choice of vege . RM1.10/stick, with mostly one item only, even for prawn 😁Continuously adding the satay sauce which is good 👍

June Lim

They're now open from 3pm - 1230am! The old uncle owner is still as caring as ever, making sure his customers are served well . If you sit right behind, you can experience his hospitality .

Joachim Ooi

Must select: Quail Eggs , Bak Kuah Meat, Fish Cake stuffed with Cheese , Sotong, Pork Intestine , Foo Pei. To avoid: Abalone Slices (there’s a smell to it). -Penang Kia Food Critique-

A stick priced at rm0.80, go to the one that's on the right. The left one isn't as great as the right. PLEASE COME EARLY IF YOU'RE A HYGIENIC PERSON. If you know what I mean.. 👉👈

Cindy Cheng

Will very 热气 after eating but I still like it anyway😍 More peanut in the sauce will make it perfect.

Lina Lim

Satay celup, pork balls , pork meat slice, quail eggs , prawns , all in the pot, yum! Prawns at rm1.50 now. The rest at rm1.20 i tink.

YAP Kaa Sheng

Shorter queue than Capitol but satay dip is reuse, so un hygiene!

gerard t

Yup. Not double vision. There are two shops and, as the staff from one of them yelled, "Not same! Not same!" Some say the one on the right is the original. All I know is, it did taste good.

eunice-anne

Best satay celup place in melaka. Just come early as the queue starts to be long very fast!

Damién Fong

if you want to skip the long wait here you can head over to Old Village a few shops ahead, it's opened by the same chef here, picture for reference

Tan Shier

Ingredients are fresh and sauce was nice but can't take much coz easily jilat... Will able to eat more if they could prepare alternative sour chili sauce ..

Cassandra Yeo

Best satay celup than Capitol there..and i don't know why Capitol is so famous instead Ban Lee Siang have more place and foods to eat...

Chew Elaine

RM 1 per stick now .... Must eat at malacca !! Open till late night

June Lim

RM1.10 now 😰 been visiting the shop on the right than on the left for more than 10 years. 😋

JaneY.93

One of the oldest and most original satay celup restaurant !!

Suan Pin Foo

The sate celup is really satisfying. The sauce is not as sweet as the others and there is a lot of variety they offer for the food. No satay beehoon though.

Shih Kay

Good try, no so spicy

Chris Lee

Cant seems to differentiate the taste in both side by side stall. Prepare for long queue and sweat environment 😂

Laetitia L

Not so hygiene! The gravy is reused for next. more choices of processed foods over fresh foods . Rm1/stick. There r two similar name but i tried the blue one, no long q for me

Prem Kumar

The satay celup is undoubtedly good.. But need to go around 5pm to avoid crowd and it's open from 5-9pm

Shenkai-Kyle W.

Do note left side is Restoran and the other is Kedai Makanan. I heard the left one is the old shop and the right one is spicier

Lina Lim

A must-try when in Malacca. They dont change pots though. They put a notice that food that are eaten should NOT go back in the pot. If you tink this is unhygience, then better dont try. Im fine wif it

Michelle Siao

I love to dip the 油炸鬼into the sauce and let it absorb all the sauce.....mmmmmmm....

Miya

Price increase to rm1 per stick. My fav prawn cost rm1.50 per stick. 😰 cost me rm80++ for 2 pax dinner .

zephyrous

Must try if you visit Malacca! There are actually 2 shops but apparently from the same source. (according to the locals here)

Chai ML

2 shops with same signboard name (different colour) operate separately due to sibling conflict

Chai ML

Food varieties OK, satay celup sauce full of groundnuts, service fast and friendly , but price on higher side

Angela Leong

RM50 for brand new soup . super overpriced for just ONE pot of SOUP but if you're someone who cares bout hygiene, strongly encourage you to do so.

SG FoodTravel

Taste is sweet and so-so. Be prepared to queue for good food. Again, no kick bearing in mind that food is heaty and may fall sick under the Melaka's sun.

C

Authentic satay celup! RM1.10 per stick

Eng Bee Ling

Their Satay definitely better than Capitol one :)

Jochebed L

Prefer this place to Capitol . Pricing's more reasonable, food's fresher! And best of all, don't have to queue! :P

Stewart Tan

Apr. 2016 - RM0.90 per stick. Please do not take half a bite and dip into the boiling sauce again!

Kai-Loon Yong

Another alternative to the ever famous Capitol Satay Celup . I think it is more or less the same with its competitors, just not enough branding power here. Worth a try with a shorter queue!

Tommy Tan

Every stick RM0.90. Taste quite good. Staff friendly .

Cindy Ooi

Like the satay sauce deeply

Princess Tarynn

I prefer the outlet with white banner. Waitresses and owners are friendly .

Andri Kurniawan

1st time here.. And look great :) some ppl say this the famous in town .. Should come and try.

Yuki Yue

Very Nice, alot ppl. Long queues ~ yummy ~ ♥

Gabrielle Kok

It's really taste better than Capitol n much shorter q! The bros quarrel hence got 2 outlets here... It's all bout $$$

Damyanthy Krishna

Super delicious! Thick gravy

Wei Kit ☄

Not as good as I expected . They re-use the same pot of sauce just pray that you won't get a stomachache

AliciaSama Alicia

Getting more and more expensive . Rm1 for 2 fishballs. Go earlier if you want to avoid queueing.

Rileen Chua

OMG THEY DONT CHANGE THE POT ANYMORE. ADDITIONAL CHARGES TO CHANGE POT FOR RM60 WTF DAYLIGHT ROBBERY

TingTing Ng

Last time 2 shop lot separate, I prefer that 1 beside Legendcity. More friendly staff
