St. George's Square (Misraħ San Ġorġ), also known as Palace Square (Misraħ il-Palazz) is Valletta's largest and most prominent square, located at the very heart of the city right in front of Valletta's most magnificent palace – the Grandmasters' Palace.

Thank God an M&S has opened on this historic square. The Maltese people have been waiting 450 years for a 3 for 2 sale.
The square is big enough for both the tourists to plow through and for other tourists and locals to find a quiet corner to sit
busy between morning and early evening, different sounds to listen to, sometimes events etc take place there. Nothing special at night, maybe a place to chill with a few friends and a good Cisk ;-)
Center of the city but people seem not to center around here but prefer the one in front of the cathedral instead
Nice place but little shadow in summer so too hot to stay
There is free but filtered wi-fi. Kids love running through the ground-level fountain , which is fun to watch at night due to the programmed lights.

for the President's walk
