This is the better of the 2 cruise terminals in St. Thomas because of it's proximity to shopping & other amenities . You don't necessarily need a car to get places from here if you're willing to walk.
The fish love to eat dog bones. Yes. Dog bones. Learned this from a local at Coki beach and we ended up snorkeling with 300 fish grabbing bites from our hands. Great vacation.
Beautiful views , but if you want a good laugh and drinks, stop in the Señor Frogs conveniently located near the port .
if you get to definitely go Magen's Bay , Blackbeard's Castle and the amber museum ... All very cool and great views !!
Had a great time in port from the Ruby Princess. Special thanks to Holly from www.latitudeswi.com for the great vacation. The cruise is a blast and I recommend you call her to get best trip ever too!
Take lots of cash for cabs/safari taxi 's. Parking is expensive and not worth renting a car. Get the name of a good one and call them for all your transporation needs. Beautiful island - Sapphir
We came to St. Thomas through Allure of the Sea and had an amazing time! Take a cab go to Magens Bay . You'll be so glad you did!
For the best cab ride, go to the far end of the shops. Ask for Trini. Older gentleman who aims to please and can tell you all you want to know about all of the islands . Great guy.
Such a pretty island !
You should do the BOSS underwater excursion where you snorkel and explore under the water about 8 feet deep on a electronic scooter!!
If you have a free day take the ferry to Virgin Gorda, BVI since you are so close. The baths are one of the most beautiful locations in all the Caribbean.
Beautiful place, plan to go back again and visit it again
Barefoot Buddha, across from the pier , great Organic food, right across from the pier .
Great place to visit. Find yourself a really good cab driver, then get his name & phone number; no need for car rental.
Take the outdoor taxis $2 per person.. visit Emerald Beach near the airport , super quiet and a nice swimming cove.
Get off the island and in the water, best way to enjoy the VI
Coki beach is great, especially If you like reggae music . Sapphire Beach is even more breathtaking, but doesn't have the music .
Visit as many beaches as you can! Most of them are very nice.
It can be a long walk to your ship
Don't go to the "best" beach , because there are others that are just as good or just to the closest.
Best view of the Port is from Scenic Overview on Rt 40
Excellent island to buy gold! ;-)
Coki Bay was beautiful with very easy snorkeling .
Try snorkeling @ Buck Island (Turtle Cove, reefs and around)
Go see Black Beards castle it is very cool.
Good buys on David Yurman jewelry perfumes and liquor at AH Riise in Charlotte Amalie.
Don't bother shopping for jewelry there are no good deals like they say. Enjoy the beach and beautiful view !!
Be aware that refills on soda are not free on the island .
The walk to the sky tour isn't long, no need for a taxi .
Best burritos in all of Mexico!
Bushwacker drink is quite tasty!
Don't worry that you'll miss out on duty-free shopping, plenty of great shops to check out after your shore excursion .
Find a tour trolley truck for 2 hrs around various parts of the island for $25 and ask to end at Magen's Bay (find these right outside the port )
Visit smith bay park
Yeah even virgin mobile work here
Check out magens bay
If you go across the street, there's several stores or bars that have free wifi .
Guess what? Your cell phone should work here like you're in the u.s! (no roaming)-check
Only if you have AT&T does your phone work here with no roaming.
This island is too bored
Beautiful outlook. Stop by the ice cream shop and sit on the edge of the water and chill. - Melonee Gaines
Good port. Some shops. But a little bit far from the city center. Plus the fare is too much. Plus side it is near Emerald beach - Erik Marasigan
Great and expansive beach! Small fee required but worth it. There is a full bar, a well supplied concession stand, and a gift shop onsite. Popular but plenty of room! - Jenn M
Closest shopping to the port. Cheaper shopping further away from the port. - Hard Rocker
Place is amazing . Highly recommended ask for Todd , he will take care of you - Joao Vieira
