TSA Security Check Point is a airport service College Park located in United States.
South Terminal (ATL Airport) College Park , GA 30337 United States
Probably the most efficient, humane TSA experience of any major US airport . Centralized check-in, so it does take time to make it thru, and then get to your gate by train . Allow plenty of time!
7:30am on a Thurs morning: 45 minutes to get though TSA. Think the busiest airport in the world should expand its security screening? I do. "Like" if you do, too.
Love it when they yell at you. Now added extra people to tell you what to do, but same slow rude system.
If you have precheck, the entrance is off to the left as you approach the check point.
Read the tips here while you are waiting. They are hilarious!
We’re all here at 5am for 8am or later flights, and we’re TSA pre-check. Arrive early because this Government shutdown is wreaking havoc on TSA lines !
Don't get caught up in the ignorance of others! TSA did a fabulous job! No attitudes and very helpful! Also incredibly streamlined process. Thanks for keeping us safe TSA!
Opt-out of the body scanners for a free massage ! Why expose yourself to extra radiation? Don't forget to make awkward moaning sounds when they approach your groin. Mmmuuaaaahhhhhhh!
Love the TSA pre-screen security line ! Keep the shoes on, computer stays in the bag and no bins! You have to opt in, though and only DL and AA travelers for now.
Don't be that guy. Pick up your stuff and move to the benches and tables beyond the security area. Getting dressed right there only holds up the line , jackass!
Leave extra time on weekends- especially Sunday to get through security! Lots of infrequent travelers and it takes longer! !!
For domestic travel, you only need your global entry card and iPhone boarding pass. Remember to put your phone in your bag and walk through the checkpoint. So convenient.
Ifyour an employee and not working to fly out, please use the non-employee line , because your holding up the line with your 50k + bags for those that do work that day. Same goes for flight crews!
This is a tip for the agents. Cheer up. Why do u have to be so miserable? No reason to make us as unhappy as u r
If your flight departs between 6 and 8 AM...and you don't have Clear or TSA Precheck...plan for about an hour to get through security. Lines are crazy long in the morning and move slow as molasses.
Find a metal detector and avoid the AIT body scanners. The metal detectors are faster, and they can tell the difference between a piece of paper in your pocket and an explosive. The AIT machines can't
Stay in lanes 1-4, don't head to the far left or right, much longer and very deceiving
The backscatter tech exposes you to a miniscule fraction of the radiation of traditional scanners b/c it doesnt need to penetrate your skin. Yay! Technology! Progress!
Pre Check is random. You may not always be picked for the pre check line . And when you don't and have to wait with the teaming masses. It can be a downer
Don't get into the sky priority lane at the TSA South checkpoint. They cram SP through one security lane while the general one gets split between three separate lanes. Ends up taking longer.
Atl kcm is always down, it's a pain. And the longs for regular peeps can be long!
If you can go through CLEAR, do it!
Very long line . Be prepared to wait around 15-20 minutes to get through security. Take your ID out and get your boarding pass in hand.
Sweetest words ever for a business traveler...leave your computer in the bag & leave your does& jacket on! The BEST!
Arrive early and walk to your concourse. You'll get some cool art and history exhibits for no extra charge!
The TSA workers need to be friendlier! Yelling at people at 5 in the a.m. is ridiculous!
The Millimeter Wave Body Scanners aren't bad at all. 3 seconds, in, out, done. Just make sure everything's out of your pockets!
For you crazies the body scanner doesn't take naked photos of you it uses radio frequencies to check for things in your pockets and stuff you never see body parts
Also leave you belts untied, laptops in hand, and money, cards, and carry on items in a see through bag.
One of the best and most organized airports in the world!
If you have TSA per-check, go around the main line on the right...there is no line there usually
Whatever wait time apps and websites give you, don’t trust it. Add 30 min and expect that most TSA work with no haste or speed at all.
During your screening etiquette states that you look to the right when you cough.
Fastest security checkpoint I've been in a while; <5 minutes from checking my documents to exiting the checkpoint.
Head over to A-Bar (by gate A27) for a great drink! If I'm there, i'll buy you a beer ! Follow @ABarAtlAirport
TSA precheck and Clear both close at 9pm. Plan accordingly
Get here before 7 pm when all gates are open. After 7, it's just the main checkpoint.
Get pre-checked - no taking off shoes , taking out laptops or baggies! The best thing ever!
If you're traveling on a Monday morning, leave earlier than normal to get here. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes.
Thank god the security officers have soft hands. That made the full body search much more enjoyable
Be here early if you are comin on weekends ... It's a big airport and has long lines at security checkpoints
Keep in mind u may b randomly pulled from pre check and have to go thru the regular line
They make everyone go through the X-Ray machine so if you cannot or choose not to go through, it will take AT LEAST 15 minutes to get pet down
Sky club members keep ID available - it's required for entrance.
Get there way before your flight to avoid the lines !
The specialized TSA belts are so much easier...
4 hour wait!
Please know if you are an "expert traveller" or not. True "experts" have their laptops at hand, shoes untied, belts in their bags and everything ready to go.
The general lane of south security is often slower than the others, but it just depends--check the iflyatl.com website for security wait times.
Busy busy busy.
