Start off with the Popiah or Spring Rolls . Order the pork in tamarind (Bak Assam ), fish fillet with coconut milk (Ikan Lemak Nenas) and (fish fillet with spring onions (Ikan Goreng Daun Bawang).
Good place to get your Nyonya food addiction satisfied. Multi level hence sittings are ample and spacious . Efficient and good variety of Nyonya cuisines. Must try if u r in town .
Pai tee is a must-try. Chap chai is very suitable for those low spicy tolerance. Serving time is relatively fast even in peak hour. Remember to dig out the nuts content when ordering ayam buak keluak.
Decent Nyonya cuisine with reasonable price. Love the sambal squids with stink bean, been visiting many nyonya restaurant and I can only get babi (pork ) pongteh from this restaurant .
The keluak Kari (pork ) is a must have. We have always had this but this time we had it, not much meat, mostly bones. Telur goreng cincalok and assam fish is also not bad. The cendol is too sweet tho
Long que but try to request to dine upstairs if you are in a small group. Ayam Buah Keluak is really interesting. Love it or hate it, but I personally love it :)
Pai Tee is very good, asam fish so-so - too sour, loh bak is very good, rendang chicken so-so, cendol is good with a great taste from red bean .. overall ok ????
Its moderately cheap . Must try: otak2, pai tee/top hats, go hiang, prawn sambal petai and chendol. Closes at 5pm on weekdays, 9pm on weekends.
Crispy Pai Tee ???? Do checkout @critzspot on Instagram for foodie goodness around Melaka, kl and selangor :)
Pai tee , assam bak, nyonya laksa ... all delicious nyonya can be found here. Awesome, nice environment too. The truly taste of peranakan. ^^
Excellent black nut recipe, the Malaysian truffle ! Must try this nyonya cuisine place for local food when in Melaka.
Make your own mind up.....is it worth paying for a taxi there and back to eat a meal which is of above average quality and of above average price? No complaints. But no high praises either.
Top Hat (Pai Tee / Pie Tee) Rm 4.80 (5 cones ) They looked too burnt when served but actually were not. So delicious, the popiah fillings in them were sweet sour and fragrance. No prawns . Read more
Hours of operation: 11am-5pm: Sunday to Thursday, 11am-9pm: Friday, Saturday and Public Holiday; closed on Tuesday
Their paitee and fish tamarind is a must try! Truly authentic Peranakan place.
good food. get tamarind prawn , spicy meehoon , mee and cendol
Simply delicious. We ordered a selection of dishes and it was all very tasty.
Very nais pai tee n popiah (let it be a lil bit of original spiciness ) + cendol :-)
Great place. The popiah is a must try. Otak-otak is the best I tried in Malaysia. Service also very good.
My fav Nyonya restaurant . The lady boss is very friendly and the food they serve are delicious.
Good news for foreigners. You can speak to the boss and jump queue. We locals have to queue under the hot sun. What a double standard !!
The laksa is simply superb. Very authentic and worthy. RM8 for a bowl.
Favorite fried fish with sambal , ayam buah keluak and kachang botol. Awesome!
Ask for it spicy ! :-) not on the menu but the waiter will know. One order has 5 pieces.
Good & reasonable nyonya food. Their nyonya dumpling is nice.
I love the mama beancurd (taufu fa) so much. Don't forget to order pai t (top hat) and the onde-onde :)
The babi ponteh is very nice. It may look oily, but trust me, just drain the oil. The gravy is very good, and nice on rice too :D
Like the meat ball and fish maw soup . Simple n nice. :D Chap Cai a bit too sweet for my liking.
Their nyonya chang and pineapple tart is so much nicer than east west n other ones.service also friendly
Service is very slow here but some of the food is really worth waiting. I liked most of the dishes i.e. pai tee , popiah , cincaluk, sambal udang petai . The otak-otak was exceptional good.
Their Candol taste good with strong Gula Melaka . Will come back again for their dishes.
Various of nyonya bicsuits and cookies sold here ~~~
U can find variety of homemade nyonya kuih here
Food seems okay. Fish it's not on my list. The otak-otak and nyonya curry chicken taste good. Let the picture tell u the story
Pai tee is yummy with a tinge of spiciness . The rest are forgettable, portion is very small. Cendol is drench with santan oil, spoiling the overall taste.
Overall is good. Just their dishes is pretty not hot when serve. They don't take reservation . First come first serve.
Squid & Petai is the best !!
Awesome food! Will come back for more! Order the Pong Teh mix and Calamari !
Chicken rendang must try
Must try pie tee! Super awesome
Had better ayam buah keluak in Singapore. Liked the assam udang though. The terung sambal and kacang botol sambal could be better if they had tumis longer, quite lacking in flavour.
Excellent asam pedas fish and belacan fried rice !
worth trying - their curry chicken range, babi/chicken pongteh. not worth trying - their belacan vege range. if u like thick gula Melaka in ur cendol , go 2 Jonker88, if u prefer milder then it's here
The owner is frenly ... nyonya food is nicer than alot place at malacca ~~ affordable price
IMO, Try the pie tee, poh piah, bak chang. Otak and buah keluak is not bad. Skip the ngoh hiang.
This place has free wifi . Password: nancy kitchen
Signature gula malacca cendol ~~~ yum yum
Very nice sotong petai . Ponteh chicken d be one of the best food in mlk. Kangkung belacan so so ONI. With reasonable price..
Very nice Nyonya food here! Highly recommended!
Cencalup fried egg & steam otak-otak are must try dish.. the cendol not bad too..
Must try the nyonya laksa. The best in Melaka. The cendol is also great. Not too sweet, but not enough of the noodles. - Anna Stevens
Mee hoon siam, nasi lemak, nyonya laksa! One of my fave breakfast spot in Malacca! ???? - Daph_ Me
Authentic nyonya food. Best to make a reservation before heading there. Gets pretty crowded by 6pm. - Kerry Berry
Amazing place for plenty of snacks with reasonable price :) - Giselle Hoo
Nasi Lemak here is awesome. Fragrant rice and awesome sambal. It's small though so you might want to get two! ;) - Jochebed L
A nice place to have a good breakfast! Their nyonya asam laksa is tasty. Do try baba cendol as well - Rathi
