天坛是世界上现存最大的古代祭天建筑群，是明清两代皇帝“祭天”“祈谷”的场所，位于正阳门外东侧。坛域北呈圆形，南为方形，寓意“天圆地方”。四周环筑坛墙两道，把全坛分为内坛、外坛两部分，总面积273公顷，主要建筑集中于内坛。

Besides all the cool and traditional architecture , I enjoyed watching the elder people at this place, it seems every retired person has a blast in this park .
You should bring your own food in and spend the whole day there. The park is huge, but not many dining places.
After visiting all the mains historic places I would say this is one of the less interesting ... Leave it for the end of the trip, if no time to make it you will probably not regret it
get a through ticket at 34 yuan. entering the park (15) + temple of heaven (20) already cost more

Nice park for a stroll but probably not worth the price of admissions. Less crowded but not much to see other than temple of heaven. 3/5
