In summer time there’s a restriction on dogs on the beach ! You can still walk your dog on the longsands but only in the north end of the beach . After the surfshack area up the rocks in the north.
Superb place to visit. I have being going to Tynemouth Longsands for over forty years. The local authority need to invest some money in to the area. The Victorian pool needs to be restored.
Beautiful beach with the aquarium , park and crazy golf nearby, not forgetting the scenic seafront walk. Favourite beach in the north-east.
Lovely, clean stretch of sandy beach . Great surfing .
Fly a kite, surf , build a sandcastle, eat fish 'n chips ! Bundle up though, it gets WINDY on that strip of beach . Seriously, you'll want a windbreaker and gloves/hat/scarf.
Watch the surfers, canoists and kiteboarders and get a coffee from Crusoes.

Playa espectacular, de arena blanca y muy fina. Las vistas son realmente buenas con iglesias y un pequeño acantilado . Ir en verano, que el agua puede estar a unos desagradables 2-3°C en invierno! X(

What a nice cafe at a great spot. I had my soup, sandwich, tea and cake, all for only £6 (don't judge, been walking since 8:45) and now back to exploring beautiful Tynemouth. - Costas Lazarides
