京阪電鉄・四条祇園駅近くの南座の西側に、この自然石で出来た石碑が建っています。1603(慶長8)に、この地で出雲の阿国が「かぶき踊り」を演じたのが現在の歌舞伎の発祥とされている。因みに南座は国の国内最古の劇場で国の重要文化財にも指定されている。 - Nao
