Famous historical hotel that takes you back another era yet has all the modern conveniences in the rooms. Dine here at least once.

Historic hotel where the crown prince always stays, but rooms are a bit dated. The showers are nice however!

Well Nara is a cool city worth a visit. I'm sure this hotel CAN be great but they don't seem to care much for foreign tourists . Nickeled and dimed us and the room was so-so.

Famous for being used by royalty and celebrities. Very classical western-japanese style hotel . The rooms and foods might not so good but people are kind and nice.

Tired hotel . Awful wifi - not what you'd expect given the price.

1909 年に辰野金吾の設計で建てられた桃山御殿風総檜造の建物。鉄道院が国 の威信をかけて開業したホテル で、建築 費は鹿 鳴館の 2 倍。入母屋造桟瓦葺、白漆喰塗の真壁造の外観は古建築 との調和を命じられた奈良ならではのスタイルだが、外国人観光 客向け迎賓館の位置付けなので内部は和の技法を凝らした洋風。客室も真壁造に長押っぽい意匠を設けた不思議な洋室。

학회 뱅킷 참석으로 방문. 숙박한 사람들은 칭찬 일색. 외관도 멋지고 좋은 호텔이었음. 나라공원에서 그나마 가까움..

新館3F スタンダードに泊まってみた。眺望ないけど森林 が目の前でなかなか気持ちが良い。

創業100年。構えはさすがに重厚だが、ティールーム だけでも気軽に寄れる。
