UNESCO World Heritage Site: 1004 The royal tombs are a short distance outside the city. Hundreds of small stone animals guard the road to the tombs.

Visited nine tombs in a day. Bikes are the best means of transportation. The "undeveloped" tombs are gems frozen in time. Road signs and local residents can be misleading. Use a GPS.
This is one of must visit place. Better take a one-day city tour to go, so you can visit Ming Tombs then go to Great Wall as well . Completed by visit at tea house also lunch before visit Great Wall
I enjoyed it more than the Forbidden City . Here, China was a flourishing civilization whereas the Palace of the People reminds China and the world what it’s like to be weak.
Follow this route that takes to ALL 13 tombs. Few have done it.
Lovely visit if you enjoy history. Otherwise, it's not worth the trek. We enjoyed it and visited on the way to Mutianyu section of the Great Wall.
I am not sure that there is much to see, although the architecture is very interesting. There isn't much to see, except some jade artifacts and hats!
A nice walk with lots of history. You need a guide to understand what you see
Really nice place to visit & take some pictures

Disappointing as much of its contents has been destroyed and replaced with replicas. Not much to really see. - James Ferguson
Made a quick visit here as part of our package tour. Not a lot of English signs so it's helpful to have a guide explain the history. As with most spots, go early to avoid peak crowds. - Simple Discoveries
It is all about the Guardians of King's Soul.It is also called as Spirit Way. Lot of statues of some mythical Animals. Worth seeing once! - Savageslap

A must see in China. Best to arrive at 8am for tickets. Opens from 8:30, gets very busy after 10am. Very crowded usually. - Christina Li
Amazing place, legs will turn soft but hey it's worth to be up there. - Jeremy Ho
