One of the good Sichuan (Szechwan, Szechuan) joint in Oakland. If you like spicy Chinese food , give a try once at least. Chongqing Chicken 辣子雞, Mapo Tofu , Wonton in hot oil are highly recommended.
This place is not kidding around. Start with a variety of cold offerings under $5, such as the steamed calamari with spicy mustard oil.
The fried rice is really good, and the spicy fish fillet bowl is really good and can feed me fore days! But it's really spicy .
Prepare yourself for some strong flavors. Spiciness and black pepper galore! Girlfriend and I got the hot pot soup thinking it was for two but we got nearly 3 meals off it!
Great place to get your hot and spicy Taiwanese food fix. You can get everything from spicy tofu to hot pot to chicken wings in a bed of red chilis to fatty pork shoulder...love it!
Stinky tofu has an odor that smells like bacterial infection and can effectively destroy your appetite. So please do not order this for your unsuspecting friend unless he specifically asks for it.
To the people complaining about chili oil and sodium: you might want to stick to your P.F. Chang's and Panda Express where the Chinese food is authentic .
Cold sesame noodles and Silken Tofu with Flaming Red Oil is a great combination.
Get the spicy fish in flaming hot oil
The ma po tofu is good here
Used to get sticky tofu and 夫妻肺片 here, but the quality has gone down quite a bit. Scallion pancake is good.
Chili Chicken/chili Lamb ribs and fried fish . ????????????????????????
Get the #46 Spicy Fish Filet Bowl w/ flaming red oil ! Delish!
Fried chilli chicken
Chicken wings , tofu pockets, gangsta casserole and kiss of fire!
Orange beef ... Fried rice
Bring three friends during the lunch hours (12-6pm) order three specials and get the fourth one free!
The calamari appetizer is amazing
Spicy Brisket noodles are out of this world good. Just the right amount of numbing/tingling spicy . Brisket is oh so tender.
The bandit lamb is so tasty!
Cash only !
The garlic ???? . ????
Currently my favorite restaurant in the whole of Oakland, get that explosive fish fillet !
Get the stinky tofu for your Valentines day date.
Great move. That place can be money.
Service is super slow. Don't come here if you're crunched for time.
Try the Seafood HotPot
Exploding peppers , and flaming chili oil can make anything wonderful.
Chef wangs sizzling chicken my fave
"Gangsta Hot Pot - Murder Style"
Can’t really go wrong with much here. All noodle dishes are great. Great if you enjoy spice.
Fried fish is the ish
Open fairly late. Prices are pretty decent. Food is f-ing delicious. It's not called Spices for nothing, btw. ????
Expensive. Small portions. Noodles were so VERY HOT that they were inedible. Over $50 for 3 entrees is not two Dollar Signs. Then the walnut shrimp had 10 “25-30” Shrimp . The sesame chix was dry.
Please hold the Oil, salt, too much MSG. We ordered the kim chi hot pot soup , flaming chicken wings ,and some veggie noodles . Will never return to this place.
Not mind blowing, but definitely good and a solid choice for Sichuan food .
Everything.
Order everything you see in this picture!!!!! This place is amazing!

Super tasty noodles. Hand made is a must! Had the spicy chow main with chicken. Worth it. Hot tea was free, perfect for a cold day. Will return again. - Josemanuel Vega
My favorite place so far (in the Bay Area) to get wonton noodles. I get 水餃, and it's delicious, and the noodles are cooked to the exact firmness. A quick, cheap and reliable meal. - J Li
Great for a nicer Chinese dinner in Oak, or for dim sum. Very fresh seafood. - Richard Liu
Service was okay. I had a crepe and it looked amazing and tasted amazing! They are open late and would recommend checking them out. - Ryan Paredez
Taro milk tea with boba is delightful, with bits of fresh grated taro! Also the alishan tea krema, omg. - Nicole Aptekar
I tried the matcha milk tea and it was so good (if u love matcha). Great prices too especially during happy hour - Ariel Kuo
