Entrance fee for foreigners is 40k VND per person. The photographs exhibit here has a very strong messages and is a powerful assets of the museum . I would call it War Remnants Gallery . A must visit :)

The photography exhibit is poignant. As with all Vietnam exhibits regarding the war, it's very focused on American aggression. Nonetheless it gives a powerful perspective. Admission is 15,000 VND.

It’s pretty sad / disturbing to see the images in this museum , war is not a nice thing. However a must see to find out everything about the war and the repercussions still effecting Vietnam today.

Agent Orange is a must see. Though looks likeit only shows the dark side of American troops. The outer fence is starting to hang poster to oppose China invasion on the Eastern Sea.

Closes between 12-1.30pm but your ticket is valid for the full day so plan ahead as you will need a good 1.5hrs walking around the museum . 15000dong per person and apparently 2000dong for locals

Extremely one-sided. My dad was on the S. VN side & was imprisoned in the same exact cruel prison system after 1975, but that's not on display of course. Still important to see the brutality of war.

Prepare for some very shocking pictures. We even saw a young man cry and get out because it was too heavy. Nevertheless a must-visit when in Saigon to understand the impact of American warfare.

Must-see. It's horrifying, but it's the best thing we found in the city with regards to the way the country changed in the war. Cheap entry in a location with a lot to do around.

After checking out the tanks and planes out front go to the third floor to the "historical truths" and read between the lines recognizing that it is a Vietnam War Museum in Vietnam. Very interesting.

Very worth to visit. Very valuable sculpture of religious God , inclusive of Hinduism and Buddhism. very exquisite and fine carve. It's a must-to-go in HCM.

Like all the other tips say, this is a somber place, especially once you get upstairs to the photography section (e.g. the Effects of Agent Orange Exhibit is enough to calm anyone down).

Very powerful pictures of journalista who died during the war while covering it on the 2nd floor. The Agent Orange room shows how bad humans can damage a society.

You'll need 2-3 hrs to properly visit and see all 3 levels, lots to see, any believe its only 0.75$ an entry for so much history and information. Great site

A very beautifully curated museum that highlights the pure ugliness of Americas aggressive war with Vietnam.

The big items outside and the war accoutrements inside are good but the real value here was the pictures and the history and background eg project Orange .

One of the most thought provoking places I've ever been. Higher floors aren't for the feint-hearted. The effects of Agent Orange will sicken and shock you. Humans can be so evil and cruel

Warning: extremely graphic and heartwrenching images. Needed to step out and cry partway through. Nevertheless, important to see to understand the impact of war . Be wary of taking children here.

History and the vietnamese perspective of war. It is difficult to stand in front of it without feeling sad, very harsh moments and picture that represent a truth.

The museum 's a good place to learn about Vietnam's past but beware of cyclos outside the gates (or anywhere else in HCM). THOSE CYCLO DRIVERS ARE SCUMBAGS WHO WILL EXTORT A HUGE SUM OF MONEY FROM YOU.

Th reason I hate wars!!! Wherever or whatever war it is. The effect of it is felt by all of us. It was heartbreaking to see civilians caught up in it all. But you must see. Where is the peace ?
