This is place for the night market in Beijing. You have to know how to haggle . If the vendor tells you the price haggle for it @ 10% of the price chances are he/she will give you what you asks for!

Nice place for wandering and shopping. Haggle ! Never pay for more that 1/3 of the starting price. Also be careful of pick pocketers; keep your bag zipped and in the front.
Absolutely to visit one evening. The street is full of lights and there are nice shops. Don't go to the food part of the street, mainly tourist traps, if you go bargain everything!
There is a small beer place here with wooden decoration, go there and have some cold draft beer . Watch out for the women, they have contract with expensive bars , restraunts.

Lots of street food including fried insects , sea creatures and even scorpions . However, there are likely to be some foods that you can't stomach.

Worth the amble up but don't leave it at that. Keep heading north into the hutongs. That's where it gets interesting...

An attempt to bargain in Chinese probably works better. First price is always 3-5 times higher than they can easily afford .

These "Practise English" scams have been going on for the past 10 years and is not good for Beijing's tourist friendly reputation. This bad practice should have been stopped long ago.

Great place! NOT cheap at all with a good food court. Although I enjoyed the most the avenue next to it with the boulevard with many stores, this mall still a good spot - Alfonso Castillo
