Easily the best cinema in the NE if not the country . Great film selection . Wylam beers served in the bar . Check out the 75p classic all nighters .
Definitely the best movie theatre in town . It’s an independent so it will show mostly indie movies . It’s very comfortable ! Great experience overall!!
I'd been told that the sound and picture isn't as good as a typical multiplex ; utter garbage. The seating, staff , sound and vision are all excellent, and you can have a beer or wine while you watch!
A gorgeous indie cinema with some great programming, I am stupidly fond of the place. Also an excellent place to grab something to eat/drink in central Newcastle.
Without doubt the best indie cinema in the country . Newcastle is so lucky to have it.
By far the best cinema in the North East. No annoying kids and a lot of screenings of indie and small budget films .
Keep eyes peeled for offers on the 'Friends of the Tyneside' membership cards; two free tickets, money off normal ticket price and big discounts in the bars & coffee room - WELL worth buying!
one of the primary wonders of Newcastle: stunning independent cinema , and you can take pints in to the cinema !
Look out for film night in the bar - £3.50 in with a drink included and perhaps some free popcorn if you're lucky...
Brilliant independent cinema with fab film selection .
I'm usually not a fan of sitting in the back rows, but they are definitely the best seats to sit in the Electra.
Cheaper and a better overall film experience than empire cinema at the gate!
Best films from all around the world, in one place. Great Bar too. Super nice staff , gorgeous seating and screens. Read more
The bar is open till 11 and with the bus stops right out side, you can stop for that last drink and catch the last bus home.
Did an LOTR all nighter here and had the time of my life!
A Newcastle gem. Not to be taken for granted.
great afternoon, great film . 'The Exotic Marigold Hotel "
The classic cinema is great!
Free film nights in the Tyneside Bar , can't go wrong!
Great selection of Wylam Beers in the bar
Best 'public' loos in town !
Coffee & the end stool in the window is the way to wait for the 33 bus
