Always been my dream to work in Tehran's oldest theater venue! Those beautiful blue tiles and round architecture ! This is a picture of one our plays in Fajr Theater Festival in City Theater !

It’s the most beautiful place ever. The vibe is great. So much nightlife. You hear people playing music on the streets, street markets all around, so much street food , and the theaters are perfect

Beautiful design, the interior is a bit rusty though. Great place to watch a play. The only issue I had was to find my seat. It was on the balcony , the seats there had no number tagged on.

I watched death of a salesman play in this theater .Though the place is old and needs redecoration its architectural design is beautiful and to put it in words: peaceful .

As nosologic as it can get, Tehran city theater is one of the most important modern cultural places for last 6 decades. It's still active and hosts great plays.

A very beautiful and traditional architecture

Never understood the fuss about the main venue, uncomfortable seats, what goes on stage in the main venue is mostly by "popular" theaterical groups and directors but not neccesarily good ones.

Originally built for ballet and other similar dance performances ; acoustics of the main hall not suitable for theater .

A center of theatrical activities; plays not bad but definitely NOT the best; building and nearby park are beautiful; surrounded by cafés and fast food joints.

I have some of the best memories of my life here at this rusty beautiful building .

Facilities are great, but most if them are not utilized. I wish some day a private conpany runs it instead of the givernment.

Even if you don't want to go to theatre , see its architecture .

با وجود اينكه فضا و صندلي ها قديمي شده اما كللي حال و هواي خوبي داره محيط و سبك معماريش ، خيلي جو خوبي داره همه چيز هنري و خاص و قشنگ ،فقط خيلي سخت گيرن اگه ٥ دقيقه هم دير برسي رات نميدن ????

کلنگ احداث تئاتر شهر، مرکز تخصصی تئاتر ایران، در سال 46 در باغ کافه شهرداری، پارک دانشجوی امروز، بر زمین زده شد و در سال 51 به بهره برداری رسید. معمار آن علی سردار افخمی است

یک المان و نشانه‌ شهری با درجه‌ی سرزندگی،پویایی و هویت بسیار بالا. مسیر دسترسی بسیار راحت با مترو و BRT. سالن قابل توجه‌ش سالن اصلیه و بقیه سالن‌هاش چنگی به دل نمیزنه. اختلاف فرهنگی بسیار بالا درمحوطه

تئاتر شهر كه هميشه تئاتر شهره چيزي نميشه گفت ولي نسبت به ١،٢ سال قبل اطراف پارك و ساختمون پر اراذل و اوباش اصن خيلي عجيبه كه چيكار ميكنن اينجا وجه جالبي نداره واسه مهمترين ساختمون فرهنگي ايران
