If you want to go into the palace , there's a dress-code, so make sure you're not wearing shorts or a tank-top.
I waited a really long time and never saw any Kings, Queens, Princesses, etc... I'm not really sure they're inside there.
nice place to explore, very similar to Bangkok royal palace . make sure to take smth to cover your shoulders and knees - otherwise will need to purchase t-shirt and pants at $3 each on the entrance.

You can get a ticket for here & the silver pagoda for 25,000KHR. Spend a couple hours & take your time wandering through the complex. Opens at 2pm.
A well kept garden with many temples and buildings to wander around. Very hot in the sun and it gets busy.
Nice place to visit. Don't miss the Silver Pagoda, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Royal Palace . A must see !
The astonishing view of the buildings in a sunny day! Pictures look better than those of national geographic -even if you use your humble phone. http://flic.kr/p/qbjLxD
Make sure you wore something longer then you knee pants or dress . No sleeveless too.
Hello Royal Palace ! Just make sure you are not wearing short pants and sleeve less top. U might have the same thing happened to me, look!:-)
Great photo opportunities bring a camera and relax in the grounds. Beggars outside are annoying and don't give them money donate it to an organization that gets them fed and off the streets.
Show off the Khmer Ẻmpire history, but its not impress me much, except the Steel House (gift of French Emperor Napoleon III to Cambodia King)
Best visit in the Morning to avoid the blazing sun in the afternoon and nicer photos. Only photos of the buildings are allowed. Nothing much thou.
Historic, magnificent palace . Look fancy but too much sun light! Guest only can access a few place shown in the map.
The astonishing view in a sunny day, under this condition Landscape pictures look better than those of national geographic! http://flic.kr/p/qbjLxD
Worth the visit and to get an english speaking guide to explain during the tour . Informative guide and fun....:-)
Bare shoulders, shorts , mini skirts aren't allowed. A small shop at entrance sell shirt and trousers. Cover yourself if you don't want spend extra money or give up with visit. They are very strict.
Consider that you can see the throne all only from windows without make any pics. And the rest of the buildings are close to public. Remain only a walk in the nice garden . Quite overpriced
Worth the small expense to get a guide. If they're old enough ask them about the war - fascinating stories
It was very hot at 9:30am. Bring a hat and wear sunscreen .
Architecture is beautiful. You can also be amaze on the number of birds found here.
Entrance fee is unreasonably high and you'll get to visit only small & limited part of the palace . I don't recommend unless you have nothing else to do and you have some extra money to waste.
Go in the afternoon and stroll the way to see sunset . It is really good.
Fantastic bargains to be had - my most favourite market in Phnom Penh.
Come right at opening in morning or afternoon to avoid the swarms, although not really worth staying too long or the high admission fee.
It's not like Bangkok's palace ,the entrance is 6 dollars and the women's may wearing an t shirt with sleeve.
Beautiful place of Phnom Penh
Simply wonderful, I didn't regret paying the admission.
Defiantly get a guide to show you through and explain it all to you. Makes it all more with while.
Without a doubt the highlight of Phnom Penh's tourist trail
It's amazing,really...but half of it's closed plus u can't take pics inside lots of places...damn it!!!
One of Phnom Penh's landmark . Iconic and worth to visit.
Beautiful view outside Royal Palace
Do wear tops with sleeves and long bottoms. You can't get away with wearing a scarf over bare arms.
Currently closed for 3 months due to the Kings death! Although this isn't advertised anywhere and Tuk tuk drivers won't tell you :-) Silver Pagoda is open as normal
if you're on a tight budget, better skip this place. it's worth the price for $3, but not that great to be on in the must visit place.
Gorgeous! A must visit...
Visit in the morning. I went at 2pm and got the worst headache afterwards cause of the intense heat!
not too special but i guess you cant miss it
Dress code implemented, be prepared to rent t-shirts or itchy long pants if you're not properly dressed .
View from the outside
Value for money http://flic.kr/p/qbjLxD
Beautiful gardens !
The Grand Palace in Bangkok is better. $6.25 US entrance for adults.
Very unique and so wonderful!
so hottttttt
Too many tourists to enjoy, cause I couldn't see over their heads. Also if cost me $6.50, not $3. Perhaps tourist season price? Would definitely skip if tight on time or money.
The most powerful roof in the world ????
No photographs inside the citadel
Also beware, need to pay cash
You can just view from outside. There's not much to see. Spend time outside the museum and see the locals spent their time in the afternoon. - Naim Husni
Amazing from outside but you can not find something so special inside, too small but your tour guide will inform you very well. - Ladybug ????????????????
Heavy stuff, but definitely well worth a visit. Do make sure to get the audio guide, which is really excellent. A full visit takes 3h if you take your time. - Sebastian Königs
Fun place to come at dusk for some neat photos. Not too sure about cost to enter, but outside is a nice mall area that is great for people watching! - Simple Discoveries
Try the teochew delicacy. Chives or Taro savoury sticky bun. Yums... - Susan Tham
Nice and quiet, contemplative at top with a breeze! Great gardens. - Tash Geelen
