This is a huge, beautiful park . Great place for swimming , fishing , running, biking . Playgrounds and now hosts the Roots n Blues BBQ every fall. It's one of the best city parks in Columbia !

Restrooms are '' closed for the season''. No mention of this on the website. Nice. Stop jogging, spend 17 minutes driving to Break Time to pee, resume jogging. It's spring. Open the damn restroom .
Great view of the pond at sunset and loads of trees to hammock on!
Outside look is 1.7 miles. Inside look is .6 mile! Watch out for hills along the way!!

Don't swim in the lake at night. You'll get sucked into the drain and drown.
Try the slide at the big tire playground! Be careful though... You gain speed fast and it's almost impossible to stop at the bottom. I'm still picking gravel from my backside - Justin Wann
Flat Branch Park has a beautiful ambiance. Located in The District. Ideal picnic date or leisure with a good book. Recently had a photo shoot there. Lovely gazebo, creek bed, a quaint wide open area. - Jasmine Washington
