Combination of paintings and royal palace in one place. A must see in Naples despite its isolated location away from historical center

Use the porte grande (main entrance) if you come from historical center as it's a bit of a hike to go to the side entrance.

The Farnese collection and several notable masterworks make it a must for every art buff. My favourites were Brueghel's "Blind Leading the Blind" and Caravaggio 's "Flagellation of Christ".

Built as King Charles III's hunting lodge , houses one of Italy's richest museums with a great picture gallery and collection of majolica and porcelain.

The way the art is presented is very traditional, many rooms are quite dark/dull.

Raffaello , Caravaggio , Tiziano , Michelangelo,Mantegna, Carracci, Perugino, Bruegel , Simone Martini and then Wharol, Palladino .....what else????

Lot of good paintings . You can see: Sebastiano del Piombo, Pontormo, Caravaggio , Tiziano Vecellio, Raffaello , Guido Reni.

Walk the trail to the back of the park for a great shot of Vesuvio.

Large parts of the museum are closed unless you go on one of the pre-scheduled tours .

it's hauntingly creepy at night..wait until 5PM on the 2ND floor for access to the 3rd floor contemporary collection. Loved it.

Not only were the Ninja Turtles brave fighters - they were pretty gifted painters , too!

Museo incredibile e affascinante in tutte le sue sale, l'unica pecca per raggiungere il museo che è immerso nel grandissimo parco di Capodimonte è un impresa, collegato malissimo !!

Sito in un bellissimo edificio sulla collina di Capodimonte, è immerso in un parco molto curato, frequentato dai napoletani più sportivi . Indimenticabile la collezione Fanese e il barocco napoletano.

Per arrivarci c'è anche uno shuttle che parte da Municipio e passa per piazza Dante con biglietto unico Museo+Navetta, acquistabile direttamente a bordo.
