I would like to advise you before explore the temples , should come to enter the AngkorNationalMuseum first, the world heritage museum in Siem Reap of Cambodia within wonderful multi exhibit artifacts
It should be the first stop in Siem Reap to understand the history of Khmer, the kings and Angkor Wat. It's a comprehensive tour covering many aspects of the Khmer history .
Very interesting museum , we visited it after temples but didn't regret. Lots of mini movies about Khmer culture and temples . Audio guide is helpful. I recommend to book online to pay less.
I would highly recommend going to the museum before visiting the templates in Siem reap, especially if you will visit them without a guide. It will help you know what you are looking at ????

Overpriced but gives you a lot of information and is is definitely worth it especially if you are planning to visit the temples . Go here before going to the temples for a richer temple experience.
The normal admission fee for foreigners is USD 10. An audio guide comes at an extra USD 2. Worth a visit as a prelude to a visit to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom .
Entrance fee is USD12 and the audio kit is USD3. There are English video slides available around the museum though for the main halls. Less crowd during off peak season.
Try it the other way round: visit main sites like Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom , Bayon, Ta Phrom, Pre Rup, Bantaey Srei, Kbal Spean & Preah Khan with a guide THEN round it off with a trip to the museum . :)
Well-curated museum with a good introduction and overview to the Angkor Wat complex. Good for an afternoon when you need some AC after templing in the heat.
It is definitely a good place, visit before going to Angkor Wat& Angkor Thom for the better understand the history in each ancient age.

Bring your student cards for half price! 6USD instead of 12! $3 USD for audio tour , only about 20 items on it, not sure if it's really worth paying for the audio tour

Come here first before going to any Wats. US$12 admission fee is a little high.US$2 camera fee, but can't snap everywhere, audio tour for US$3.NO WiFi , No food, water and hats allowed inside.
