Beautiful plaza !! You can skip the line by buying the ticket.. We preferred to go up in the bell tower instead of the duomo so the view had the duomo !!
boom! it just sneaks up on you and is one of the most incredible sights. entrance to the cathedral is free but you can purchase tickets for the duomo and bell tower in the square.
Get in line EARLY or buy a guided tour to skip the line . If you are brave spring for the extra tour of the tippy top for an awesome view of Florence! 😄🇮🇹

So beautiful. Being one of the most visited place in Italy it's really crowded and daily it can become a bit annoying this but this Piazza always leave me speechless tough it's 3yrs I'm living here.

Visit the church around 5 or 6 for a shorter line . If you've already lined up and seen the inside of the church , go downstairs and buy your ticket for the top from the gift shop . (No line here!)
You MUST climb up the Duomo ! Best views ! And/or climb the clock tower to get great views of the Duomo itself.

This is the city center and the most touristic place in Florence. The cathedral , the chapel, the baptistry, the painters , musicians and the cosmopolitan environment make it unique.

We have been on the top of the bell tower and we loved the view all over Florence and especially the cathedral .
If you're new to town , you might think it's a good idea to arrange meetings with your friends in Piazza Duomo . You will soon find that it's too crowded to make this practical! Pick any other spot ;-)

The climb is great to get nearer to that magnificently decorated done. However there's plexiglass all round which makes it hard for shots.
Book a visit in advance as it is booked out in advance. Also photos early morning is the best time
