Make sure to visit the (recently restored) paintings of the 7 virtues in Room 9, the first of which was made by Sandro Botticelli . Not his most renowned work, but stunning in terms of color & detail!

MJ Lee

Don't miss the view of the Ponte Vecchio from the top floor. Retrospect the purpose of the private passage built by the Medici family.

Kari Ludz

"Secret" tip: if you arrive on Saturday afternoon, you can purchase a ticket directly at the gallery- no line at all!- and visit until late in the evening. Plus you don't pay the online booking fee! K

Agnieszka Straszewska

A lot of stairs, but worth taking. Carravaggio and Botticelli are must sees

Sara

One of my favorite museums , great collection of paintings . The que could be long but worth the wait. Go at the lunch time it will be less crowded

Freja Eilertzen

Book in advance or get here as early as possible! Save some energy for the Bottichelli and Donatello rooms - they are among the best collections, but unfortunately crowded and near the end.

Kamila Shibalova

There is nothing better in Florence than Gallery Uffizi! Such and exquisite experience you don't want to miss. If you want to avoid the queues, book tickets in advance .Also less people in the morning.

Tatiana Devnina

I recommend to book tickets via Internet earlier, so u shouldn't stay at queue so long. Also we used audio guide, you could listen about all art objects at the museum . The best picture "Tondo Doni".

Mark Wong

Best collection of renaissance art in the world (Leonardo, Michelangelo , Raphael, Botticelli , etc). Buy your tickets in advance and download Rick Steves FREE audio tour in advance for prime experience

Mark B

World famous. Fantastic sculptures and paintings throughout. Byzantine to Renaissance. Very large exhibit and one should take their time if they want to get full experience.

Ryanah AlSaif

An amazing museum with a lot of beautiful art pieces. However getting tickets was a hassle, we had to stop by 3 counters to get to the right entrance with available on the day tickets

Brandon F.

Excellent Roman sculptures and frescos on the ceilings. You’ll also see paintings from Rembrandt, Tintoretto, de Vinci and Michelangelo . The portraits of the Medici’s by Bronzino were a favorite.

Fluying ✅

This greatest collection of Italian paintings anywhere features works by Giotto, Leonardo, Raphael, Caravaggio, Titian, and Michelangelo , and a roomful of Botticellis , including the Birth of Venus .

Palace housing one of the most famous artistic heritage in the world. The ticket cut-file costs 4 euros more but really convenient to choose his time visit and avoid time loss! I love this place

Sergey Ilin

It’s definitely the best art museum I’ve ever been to. The exposition is very careful, the paintings itself are very bright and mind blowing. It’s a must.

Bijan Kafi

Come as early as possible, proceed immediately to the top-most floor. You'll likely have it quite to yourself for the first hour. There's no going back later when the place gets packed.

Cara DeMore

Worth the wait. They have a wonderful Northern Renaissance collection, however I did not know that much of the museum was undergoing restoration. Still, it's a must see if you're in Florence!

Laura Merryweather

Brilliant value for money , sooo much to see, including showstoppers Botticelli and Caravaggio! Book ahead thou, we made the mistake of thinking we wouldn’t need to in February. 2 hour queue.

♡︎

gorgeous architecture , statues & paintings . my personal favorite was the portrait by Artemisia Gentileschi, Judith Slaying Holofernes. go to it if you’re visiting Florence!! <3

Jimgugu

A must to visit in Florence! The atmosphere is amazing and really exciting. Museum staff are really nice and always polite however, museum 's cafe is a failure with its ugly chairs and decoration!

Grazyna O

One of the best art collections in the world. You find all the old masters here. My favorite was a painting of Bia de Medici that was probably painted after her death. Amazing expression on her face.

Lloyd G

They're undergoing a number of renovations to add better lighting and AC for the summer months . Can be very busy in the afternoons, but definitely worth spending a few hours here.

Jan-Paul Laarmann

Just stop for what really catches your attention - the collection is huge and you won't be able to see everything in one day. My somewhat funny favorite: Liberation of Andromeda/ Piero Du Cosima.

المهره الصعبه ماهي لأي خيال

Lovely Gallery in Florence. Nice famous paintings mixed with rich history ❤️

Carina

Probably a must if you are in Florence but after Louvre every museum is not enough. It costs 24 euro (vs. 17 euro Louvre).

Salvatore De Carmine

Probably the Italian museum par excellence. Caravaggio, Bernini, Botticelli , Dürer, Rubens : what could one ask for more? Perhaps there's too much to see all at once.

Henrique Koller

If you can understand English well , download Rick Steve's audio tour of the museum . It is good as the official audio guide and will save you 10 euros.

Iwana Krzeptowski

Skip the line And go directly for A tour with a guide ! That's a good way to discover the main art pieces of the museum ! If you don't stay long in Firenze this a must see ! :)

N. S.

Get there first thing in the morning and be prepared to stand in line . The museum is filled with amazing pieces and totally worth the wait, but seriously, you want to arrive right when it opens.

Aylin Arıcan

Even if you book the tickets in advance you need to wait on the line around 30 min. So do not think to come without any booking ???? Audio guide is 6 euro per perso

Irina Shirshikova

The museum is cool, but guys, you have to do something with entrance organization . This was a peak of bad everything!! The queue for reserved tickets cannot last for 45 min in January!!!

Firenzecard

The museum houses some absolute masterpieces of all times, including fourteenth century and renaissance paintings by Giotto, Simone Martini , Piero della Francesca, Beato Angelico, Filippo Lippi, etc.. Read more

Tomfoolery

Easily the best gallery in Florence... So much to see. Take your time and try to avoid the crowds (it's open late Tuesday nights in summer!)

Burcu Atakan

Must visit when in florence.. if you do not want to wait long hours.. reserve your ticket for the day after???????? there is no discount for students..it is gratis only for art students

Kristina

Well organized rooms, we did a group tour which would have been better if it wasn't so crowded . Go very early in the day to avoid crowds. Pretty deck on 2nd floor where you can buy water!

Clau????

Buy your museum ticket in advance to avoid the long queues ;) Leonardo da Vinci , Botticelli , Giotto, Michelangelo , Raphael, P. della Francesca, P. di Cosimo, Caravaggio! Don't miss it! A MUST see!

Adriano Meloni

Simply amazing museum housing the Great Tuscan Medici dynasty's collection of sculptures , paintings , icons, and architecture . Situated in the heart of the best preserved Renaissance city in the world.

Candice Rivera

Filled with art you likely saw and studied back home, but never thought you'd see in person. David's Michaelangelo was one of the most impressive works of art I've seen to this day!

Michelle C

Book ticket online. Otherwise the queue can take an hour and a half. You can also buy resold tickets for €22. Audioguide for €6 is worth every cent.

AP

Free entrance every first Sunday of the month. Long lines , come 30-40 minutes before opening.

Felipe Iglesias

Huge! Notwithstanding the incredible long cue to enter the museum , it worth the time. There's a really comprehensive collection of paintings so you can see the europeization of catholic icons

Efe Basaran

Gotta see the perspective difference.. Leonardo Da Vinci over Filippino Lippi on 'Adoration of the Magi'.. so dark and realistic view of DaVinci astonishes you..

Daniel Grayson

Seeing three out of four Ninja Turtles in one place isn’t bad.

Michelin Travel & Lifestyle

Head to the 2nd floor to see Da Vinci, Leonardo, Michelangelo & Botticelli + take in a great view of the Ponte Vecchio. – Green Guide Editor

Dilara ????

A must see in Florence for Renaissance art lovers. Free entry on the first Sunday of the month but get there early as the lines are extra long!

Rafael Henriques

Don't fall into the tourist bait and pay 45 (or the "discounted " 35€ to get in). Go to door 51 (across the street from the entrance)and buy the next available time slot. Reserved line is pretty fast.

Tanya V

Simply amazing. Make sure to sit out on a terrace to have a coffee with an astounding view of Florence

Carl Tydingco

A really great museum . I like how it’s laid out chronologically so you can see the evolution of painting from medieval to renaissance

Artviva Tours

Certainly a must-see in Florence! Allow yourself several hours to wander through the maze of rooms, or book a tour so you can make the most of your time in this great museum .

Zeh Lima Filho

Book a visit before get there. Book a visit before get there. Book a visit before get there. Got it?
