Have to be early to get a seat, the charcoal toasted bread , nasi lemak & the coffee are great! Service is fast & efficient too. I'm going to miss it!
Great kopi. They serve a good kopi ☕ which neither too sweet nor concentrated. Just 'ngam ngam ho' ! Toasts 🍞 with kaya and butter always goes well with half boiled eggs 🍳. :D 😋
Cheap , prefer roti bakar (toasted bread ) over steam bread . Especially roti bakar sugar + butter. Teh tarik is great as well .
In a small alley beside Ban Heang Biscuits , Campbell Street. Local breakfast . Must try their nasi lemak and black coffee ! Limited seats , prepare to wait.
Coffee is great and the charcoal grilled bread is supremely crunch. U can try request for more kaya to enhance the taste but beware of the grumpy staff and owner. The queue is unbelievable as well
Long queue for table and long wait for toast and eggs . Must come early if you want to try. The toast was crispy but not hot. The Nasi Lemak and curry puffs are pretty good.
Long queue on a weekend morning even though we were early. Love the vibe of the space. The coffee is decent. Toast bread and nasi lemak were good.
When you're here, you must order the toast bread (done over an open charcoal fire) with a side of soft-boiled eggs . It's a quintessential Malaysian breakfast . Seats are limited so be prepared to wait.
I love their Roti Bakar . Very light bread and nice spread of homemade Srikaya or Peanut Butter . Their coffee is one of the best coffee I tasted in Penang
Very good taste and best coffee had ever in town ! The scrambled egg with roti also unique and highly recommend!
Famous for their coffee and toast bread . Limited tables and chairs and also hidden in a small lane. If possible to observe how they toast the breads .
Really traditional and unique place to have breakfast , love their nasi lemak and half boiled eggs . To be honest the toast and kopi are just alright.
Local breakfast (mini nasi lemak , toast bread and kopi ais) pls go early morning, if not the queue damn long
Very crowded esp. on weekend! Love their Nasi lemak and kueh talam. Catch the karipap vendor, must try! Toast okok only. Tea n coffee not bad! Half boiled eggs waiting time: average 15-20 mins
Really smooth coffee and good charcoal toast . The only downside is the queue and it's very overpriced.
Polo bun and eggs on toast are must-try dishes here. Also go for the kopi peng . Be prepared to queue for at least 30mins.
The muggle count here has been especially high lately. If you can't find a seat, the next best thing would be to order a 'kopipeng bungkus ikat tepi satu!'
Kopi, toast , eggs = breakfast for champions ☕️ 🍞 🏆 (Or lunch , if you're a late-riser like me.) Grab a pack of their nasi lemak too if you fancy , it's pretty good too.
One of the best roti Bakar in town , especially the peanut butter toast and eggs on toast . They do sell curry puffs and Nasi Lemak too.
In Penang there arent many breakfast places /kopitiams serving toast bread & eggs . That's why this place is popular. Another reason is here its available till late afternoon. Try toast butter + sugar.
I personally like their half-boiled eggs , nasi lemak and kuih talam. However, their coffee ice is rather sweet for me. Still a good place for breakfast though. Do come early to secure a place!
Half boiled eggs , traditional coal toasted... Toast lol, kopi o peng must try k! Just prepare to wait for table... Wait to order... Wait for food. Payment very prompt tho. LOL
This place is always packed, be prepared to queue for seats. Kopi peng and the steamed bread with half boil egg is awesome!
Iced Coffee with Kaya Toast , could never go wrong! Great oldies ambience, felt throw back to the past!
Must order Coffee Caramel . The best of the best coffee in town ! Long Long Q , come early morning ...☕️ ☕️
Their cham-peng doesn't really meet my expectation, however. Personally, I like those thick texture. Anyway, you shouldn't missed out their nasi lemak and steamed bread with charcoal. Very authentic .
Bumped into 3 idiots here. Straight took the vacant seat while everyone is queueing and doesn't care even everyone is staring on them. Shameless people, wondering did their parents taught them manners
More passion needed as they are still using traditional way to toast and steam the bread . Still my best place to enjoy hainanese coffee .
Their toast with kaya and half boiled eggs were an absolute delight. Thank you for keeping this place as authentic as it can be :)
The best time to visit is between 4pm to 6pm during weekday. Not too much people and you can slowly enjoy your coffee .
Long waiting Q. Traditional way of bread toasting using charcoal. Iced coffee taste good. Toast breads X apply enough Butter&kaya. Half boiled egg 's just normal.surpisely nasiLemak bungkus taste good!
Butter kaya toast with half boiled egg are super match as a classic breakfast 👍🏻
Steam Roti , Roti Bakar are both NICE! Chocolate , Coffee , Oats , Plain - 4 types of Roti they have! The Kopitiam is thick enough to leave a stain on ur teeth! Haha!
You come here for the egg toast . Iced coffee is the business. Great local place. Fast service .
Feeling adventurous? Try mix the half-boiled egg with the nasi lemak - invented by Shoggy Teoh. You're welcome.
Sometime good service , sometime no. "Order" 5 times still nobody come, after the 6th alr ordered but wait around 45min my meal still haven come n drink is finish.. 😒 but the food and drink realy 👍👍
Breakfast in Penang! Waited for around 40 mins for orders to be served! Thanks to those who borrowed ur foods n drink to me :3
If you want to avoid the long queue, you have to get there before 9am during weekends and public holidays.

Toast and ns lemak are worth the Q. Order kopi ais also. Hv to Q taw..jangan potong 😁
There are 2in1 convenient pack coffee available too. You can have a cup of TohSoon coffee any place, anytime.
Nice for breakfast but if need to queue probably can't bother. I find the special part is the toast bread , bcoz if toast with charcoal, it make just right with slight toast outside and soft inside.
Order few set of charcoal-toasted bread with a glass of iced coffee is a must for tea time or breakfast !
Must try kopi o! Kopi taste is awesome rich and the sweetness just perfect :)
Very crowded in the morning. Roti bakar , half boiled egg , coffee(kopi) are well done and delicious. Small portion in size.
Egg on toast 👌 worth a try even though you need to wait for a quite a time.
Charcoal toast and packet nasi lemak are nice. Drinks too sweet
Superb nice Nasi lemak , the best Kopi beng, charcoal bread and also half boiled egg !
TS serves fairly good coffee & toast . But if you go during peak hours in the morning,do not expect all of the toast are charcoal roasted, they had to use a toaster to ease the crowd.
the half boiled eggs and coffee were great! like the old coffee shop feel
Soup Wantan Mee is a must try, the dumpling is awesome !!! Best in Penang for me. - Kia Sen Tan
