If you seriously want delicious laksa , please take an afford to only walk to the end of the lane and you will discover this shop which they PREVIOUSLY SOLD IT IN THE KOPITIAM near the cendol store.
Super long queue for the famous cendol in Penang . RM2.90 per bowl, you may sit in the coffee shop few feet down the road , they'll deliver it to you hassle free. Taste wise, prefer Melaka 's cendol ????
The laksa stall in the kopitiam now (updated, February) is not what you tasted previously. You can do comparison and you will definitely taste the huge different! See my previous tips ;)
Name says it all. Don’t be dissuaded by the queue though, it moves very quickly. Be warned that it can get messy however, so keep wet wipes handy. Also, proper parking is available around the corner
Try everything at this stall and you will love every.single.plate.served. I had one of each and my fav definitely their ASSAM LAKSA AND FRIED OYSTERS!!!!!!
This affordable refreshing drinks consist of jelly from rice , coconut milk , read bean & gula melaka in shaved ice . Very famous & made its as an icon of Penang’s hawker food. #CulinaryPenang
Been here last weekend and tried it for the first time. It was the best authentic cendol i've ever had.
One of the famous chendol in Penang! It's so crowded and the queue is looong here during weekend that u hardly find a seat. But eating while standing also not bad tho hehehe
This blue bowl chendol is really good bcos it's Gula is fragrant and not that sweet. Teamed with the coconut milk , it's a very lemak combination.
I grew up with cendol (as we called it in Indonesia). Having the chendul here was a nice down-the-memory-lane experience! I prefer having it without red bean , just like the good old days! Pretty cool!
Awesome cold coconut green jelly dessert drink in a bowl. Delicious and may not be 100% hygienic but we still love this. Fastest serving i have ever seen. Love these.
The infamous cendol is very yummy!! RM2.50, and expect to stand by the roadside to devour your dessert ; fast service despite the huge crowd. Just join the queue.
Been having this since I was a toddler, am surprised to see what it has become. It's still as good as I remembered! For some reason the chendol tastes better when there's a queue, less sweet. ????
They say there's a war between the two Cendol stalls , honestly couldn't tell the difference. Try both to see what you think. It's a good food item, though. Sweet and cool.
This is the blue bowl cendol stall . If you tasted orange bowl cendol , you will definitely go for the orange bowl stall . Only if you tried, you will know why i said so.
Been here last Jan’15 d taste was great. But yesterday I came again to eat d best asam laksa I’ve ever had n d taste was different! Am a bit frustrated, but d cendol is still same taste from previous.
Inconsistent quality.Tasted great last time. That's why we came back 4more.This time,it's diluted(obviously need more coconut milk )w/mushy chendol & red beans ,& chunky shaved ice .Need better QC 4sure????
Best chendul so far. try it without the read bean though. as with most malaysian roadside shops, stand and makan!! woohoo!friendly workers and Phua CHu Kang has been here so it is officially the best!
One of the most happening street ever! Not to missed - Chendul, of course
Cendol can be ordered from the stall outside to be delivered into Joo Hooi Coffeeshop. Just pay a minimal surcharge and u can enjoy it sitting down. Very long queue.
Cendol can't get any better than this. One portion may not be enough if you're super craving for Cendol . They also have to-go cup (like bubble tea cup)
Cendol here is always a good idea and its worth the long queue. Also you can find a place to seat inside rather than standing but be quick
Great cendol . But be ready to carry the order to your own table because they are that busy.
Opposite down the road got a lady selling mee curry with lots of ingredient inside. Omg so good (Y) u can also order ur cendol and ask them to send it over there. Super nice lady!
Go try the one with the orange bowl cendol ! I tried both but i still prefer the cendol 's of their opposite stall .
Best Penang chendol. Get a seat and the waiter will get the chendol for you. No need to queue.
A must try at Penang! Definitely will cool you down during a hot day.
Rojak with cuttlefish , mango , sengkuang, cucumber and pineapple . Yum! Would've been perfect if I just ordered my fave vege/fruits
Long queues for the chendol. Like the slightly burnt caramel taste of the gula melaka .
Don't mistake Mr Tans competitor across the road , you can tell, there is no Q, and, is 10sen cheaper. Once you buy your chendol, just walk down a few shoplots to his shop, air conditioned no xtra $.
Old school chendol with a very fragrant gula melaka .
Sik nyaman!Nang x nyaman! Hahahaha Especially the nasi lemak .fried chicken using recycled oil.as for the cendol ice cream.biasa jer.nothing special & the old man that cooks char kueh passed away alrdy
Nothing better on a hot sweltering day than an ice cold bowl of chendol. There are now seats at the green shophouse (uncle will direct you there) but standing by the roadside to eat has more feel!
RM2.10 for having there (stand beside the store and additional charge RM0.50 for enjoy your dessert inside the coffee shop ), RM2.40 for take away . Please request "hard flake " for take away .
The chendul is really good. Especially during a hot day, it's something to quench your thirst!
Quality fell. Not too great. Green cendol tasteless, Sitiawan has better cendol .
Worth the queue and wait. I love the cendol here. It's to die for, but watch out of cars if you are eating while standing by the lane.
Teochew cendol $2.30, ice kacang $2.40, Asam laksa $4. ReReasonable price
Tourists love this. Locals love it even more. Have a bowl. Or two. And have fun jostling with the crowd.
Nice chendul at road side with no place to sit. There is a coffee shop beside it, but it charge rm0.50 each bowl of chendul u bring in. Still...worth it.
May buy and sit inside a corner shop further down a bit without charges. The small corner shop selling laksa and rojak and a lot of photos on wall.May try their laksa but not their rojak (expensive !).
I came here 2 days ago during a weekday. The taste was a lot stronger and tastier when the store is less busy. So try to come during non-peak times like weekday afternoons.
Best cendol in Penang ! Sit in the shop next to their stall . Try out the otak-otak in the shop, not bad!
the cendol and char kueyteow really good. i love it.
had cendol , rojak , curry mee and nasi lemak . all deserved two thumbs up. will definitely return whenever in penang
R$3.20 chendol - it’s ok . No queue on a wed afternoon . Sit in the Coffeeshop, and chendol will be delivered to u tog w Penang laksa , rojak or other food. Rojak at $8 is steep. $6 Laksa is decent
Third time drink cendol at here, this time they provide their own cup with own logo for the take away
awesome cendul ever! cost for rm2.30..additional charged of rm0.30 for take away ..never bring into joo hooi cafe as they will charged rm0.50 for each bowl
Probably the best cendol in town ... Definitely SO much more better than in Sabah :-D
Awesome and good cendol ! Recommended ???????????????????????? Avoid peak hour. Surely queue is very long.
