Come early morning or before sunset , long pier walkways around lake , nice views , admission charged (2k kyat) on entry. Go to the zoo across the street while you're here.

If you're trying to get to the Karaweik, there doesn't seem to be any way to do that through the park / lake itself - could be a lot of wasted energy trying to walk the length of the park to get there

Go to the eastern shore of Kandawgyi Lake there is a restaurant with this beautiful architecture .

This place must have been a thing of beauty in the past. Good to see what looks like a massive renovation effort ongoing throughout

Be careful and watch the ground on the wooden bridges , they are not that solid
